As visually loud as the real thing
A familiar formula with a new coat of city paint, and sadly the same old problems underneath. You get 2 levels set in Los Angeles: one massive, noisy scene that made my eyes beg for mercy, and a second, much calmer map that’s actually pretty cute and over in a few minutes. There is technically more content here than in other entries from the same dev, with around 23 minutes spent wrestling the first level and about 5 minutes for the second, but that extra time mostly comes from visual overload rather than clever design. On the nice side, there are infinite hints that recharge almost instantly, color and black & white modes, brightness settings, a save system, and the scenes clearly scream “Los Angeles.” The second level even has great zoom and feels accessible to pretty much anyone. The dual difficulty idea is good on paper: one chaotic level for the brave, one gentler scene for everyone else. Sadly, the execution trips hard. In the first level, the screen is packed with squiggles, clutter, and shapes fighting for attention, which makes searching exhausting instead of fun. On top of that, many of the cats barely look like cats at all, even by generous hidden-cat standards. Achievement clutter is still here with the usual 100 achievements, and the price is, once again, out of sync with what’s offered. Yes, it lasts longer than some siblings in the series, but it’s still extremely expensive for two static scenes, especially when the main reason it takes longer is eye strain. If you’ve played similar titles from this developer, you already know the quantity-over-quality vibe. This one sits very close to 100 Miami Cats, for better or worse, and while it might work for players who enjoy visual chaos, it never quite earns a recommendation from me as it's WAY more agressive than the Miami game. Checking the screenshots first is highly advised. As a general Hidden Object Fan with over 100+ in my Library, this is the first one I have to give a bad review to. Excuse me, half of these do not even look like cats but some sort of scribble of a 2 year old. Charging for this while there are so many free ones drawn with actual skill. JUST NO. BYE. Spoiler Alert! I found the first level way too busy to be enjoyable for a search and find.
Honestly, 100 Los Angeles Cats is one of my least favorite of the 100 cats games. In an attempt to up the difficulty, seemingly so we don't purchase and find all the cats and refund before the 2 hour timeframe, they've continued to make the cats look less and less like actual cats to the point where clicking on random blobs that don't quite match the background or around the hint areas is the only way to find some of the cats. While I can forgive a hidden cat game that's solved too quickly, I'm finding it difficult to forgive hidden cat games where half the time you aren't even looking for anything vaguely cat-shaped anymore. 2.5/10
100 LOS ANGELES CATS
Relaxing and funny game where you just need to find 100 hidden cats. Once you find them all, you just completed the whole game. Sounds easy right? Some cats are really tough to find but you will figure it out. If you can´t find some of them there is hint system that will help you. Art and music fits together nicely. In case you are still missing some cats, just take a look at my guide. :) Overall it is a good game to decompress. If you have good eyes for seeking it will take you about 15 minutes to 30 minutes at maximum. Also you will get easily those achievements. GL & HF.
All the hidden cat games are basically the same- you find the cat and it meows and they are very easy to find. However this one had a few that were really hidden and took a bit of searching. The art style of this game is top tier- A beautiful color scene with the theme of Los Angeles. The game is Steam Deck Verified and it works great with the Steam Deck's touch screen.
Поиск котов добрался до западного побережья США. Основной уровень очень сложный, последнюю десятку без подсказок найти было нереально, а вот бонусный уровень порадовал на контрасте, очень милый и простой.
Find 100 cats hidden in an image of Los Angeles. Decent.
