Been a fan of James Bond since I was around 8 years old. Watching the Pierce Brosnan movies and then the Craig ones, I fell in love with the character. I vividly remember playing Goldeneye on the 64 and Everything or Nothing on the Gamecube. These two felt to me at the time, as the definitve embodiment of James Bond in a playable video game format. When I saw IO was making a Bond game, I had fears that it would just be hitman reskinned. As much as I enjoy hitman games, the hitman style does not fit the Bond style. That being said, IO hit what it feels like to be bond right on the head. Patrick Gibson does a fantastic job of portraying 007 down to the quips, the tonality in his voice and the underlying feeling of blind justice fueled by a his unwavering sense of luck and fearlessness. They nailed Bond, even down to the scar on his cheek, which was such a prominent detail of his facial features in the Flemmig novels, that never made its way to the big screen. All the characters in the game felt alive and like real people as they spoke to you, not just an NPC. The world around you felt immersive as well, as it had pacing that was close to that of a movie. At times, the gameplay did feel very "video game-y" Go from here to there and press a button to interact with something to move the story forward, but there are also a lot of alternate routes to take that feel like more flushed out "secret agent James Bond-y" solutions to a level. The combat is fantastic and feels great, and lets you explore a fairly in depth combo, stealth, environmental and gadget system, or you can choose to just brute force fight everyone. I would say, that this is game is a fantastic addition to the James Bond franchise, and they have done a great job with the story, as well as setting up for future games. I am excited to see where they go next with this iteration, and where the Patrick Gibson 'James Bond' story goes in the future. 9/10 - Fantastic game, some slow moments at times, "boss fights" are a bit repetetive and simple but overall an amazing game.
Great story and very solid gameplay. I recommend starting on the hardest difficulty to encourage you to actually think and use your resources wisely.
Good, not great. Far more linear than I was hoping and a really lame final boss fight. Still an enjoyable experience though.
开发者吃屎了做出来的?把加速和翻越设一个键,不按就慢吞吞地走,按了蹭个桌子就要翻一下?有个场景全是桌子,我就当着敌人的面翻过来翻过去的被打成筛子
Nothing but peak in this game. Would definitely recommend to people who like Action Adventure games, as well as James Bond.
