The game is exactly what it promotes on the tin. Except there's more, like different levels, upgrades, metaprogression, all packaged in a relatively charming, indie package, all with weird physics interactions. Also, there's a story for some reason, not saying its groundbreaking, but its definitely there.
A fresh take on Zombie / fishing / management sim. Once you unlock the teleporter things get really fun.
Alright, so.. to begin with, I’m a huge fan of Chris Danelon’s games, and The Indigo Parallel is one of my all-time favorites. I still replay it from time to time because it is genuinely comforting for me - it’s basically my outlet, really. However, this one (despite being a completely different genre) feels surprisingly cheap which is even more frustrating considering it is the most expensive of the three games. The gameplay loops to grind, kill, collect.. repeat. After about half an hour, a pretty obvious question comes up: is it really worth it? Unfortunately, I have to say no. It quickly becomes monotonous and boring and it is much better to play Absolute Insanity made by the same developer.
Good and unique game! Very fun and satisfying to progress. I do have a few gripes: The head crabs are almost impossible to hit with melee weapons, so if you don't have a ranged weapon they are almost guaranteed to hit you. I feel like the weapon system could be improved, constantly picking up and dropping weapons is kind of annoying. Being able to buy guns with more than a single clip of ammo would be very nice. Overall a very neat and fun game.
A surreal fishing trip with a twist. a low poly treat!
