I wish I could say good try, but I can’t. I was hesitant to buy this game, but I took a chance on a sale. I lost. To be fair, I just played Zero Caliber 2, which is a solid FPS with fun levels (mostly), great weapon handling, and unbelievable weapon modification/selection. And Zombie VR has none of that. The levels are extremely linear, the weapon progression is far too slow (both the acquisition of the base weapons and the upgrades, because the base weapons are garbage and you need those weapon upgrades), and the controls are only fair. It is so limiting that you might call it a VR experience more than a game. I really wanted to like Zombie VR, but the most common emotion it elicited was frustration. The lack of freedom killed it for me. You can’t go where you want to go, you can’t pick the weapons you want to use without grinding out the game to unlock them all, and the game constantly boxes you in (literally). For example, you only have 3 weapons slots and one of them has to be a sniper rifle. Now, I know that makes sense because it’s a Sniper Elite game, but 95% of your shots are at enemies under 15 feet away. A Sniper Rifle just makes no sense in these levels. The best thing the game did in my opinion was the options menu (kudos to whoever worked on that). But the game itself is bad. I didn’t play co-op, because none of my friends have the game, and I can’t recommend that they buy it.
no
Just beat the game, and it is very fun to mess around in and go through There are alot of bugs that can happen, including in multiplayer Was challenging at times when you have no idea when you'll have to hold out or fight a boss for a few rounds Did still have alot of fun Did wish it wasn't so short or that it reused maps since it's pretty pricey compared to the others in the series overall pretty good
This is one of the few VR games that I’ve had a massive amount of fun playing. Unlike other zombie titles, the gameplay here isn't a stressful survival horror experience. Instead, it’s all about sniping one enemy after another while keeping your combo as high as possible to earn rewards. This arcade-like style kept me constantly motivated, thanks to the tons of different weapon unlocks and the ability to upgrade them during the campaign. Speaking of which, the missions were great, featuring diverse map layouts and a difficulty progression that felt "just right" neither too easy nor too hard. My only complaint would be that the more challenging passages are clearly designed with co-op teamwork in mind. As a single-player, it was sometimes annoying not being able to cover all angles while constantly having to run back to the ammo box, but it was still manageable overall. I also really want to mention that Zombie Army VR has some of the smoothest VR controls I have ever experienced. Everything from reloading the rifle to grabbing explosives felt incredibly responsive and natural. Even difficult tasks, like going completely no-scope, worked perfectly without any tracking issues. Absolute great job on that! The story is simple and easy to follow, which fits the franchise perfectly, and the graphics are actually quite decent for a VR title. Overall, Zombie Army VR did an amazing job of bringing the addictive arcade gameplay loop of the series into virtual reality. It’s a shame to see it getting mixed reviews; in my opinion, that's absolutely undeserved. I highly recommend this game!
Honestly, I don't get all the negative reviews. The only issue I had was learning to let go of the rifle with my trigger hand so I could work the bolt. Once you get used to it, you're in for some pretty intense firefights. Game is pretty standard Half-Life style campaign where you walk through a series of smaller maps, gunning down zombies and searching for secrets. It's fun!
Multiplayer is a miss. And that is sad. bt the game ain't that bad
Sehr Geil
變成單機遊戲了! 由於多人遊戲伺服器託管服務將逐步停用 Unity,《Zombie Army VR》的合作遊玩伺服器將於 2026 年 3 月底關閉。單人戰役模式將不受影響。
I really REALLY want to like this game, but it has two glaring issues for me. 1. The belt is so so SO jank. The hitbox on things you need to grab are so damn small that sometimes I ended up grabbing the weapon from my back rather than the pistol on my hip. It was such a constant frustration, and I tried to tweak the belt settings to no success. It also doesn't help that you can't really see your belt, as it's always readjusting to your view. 2. The fact that you can grab your secondary and tertiary weapons from your hips is a big problem, as - like mentioned above - it will cause you to grab them instead of your pistol, and you'll end up with rather comical moments where you whip out a sniper as your sidearm by mistake. These two issues kept compounding, and eventually I got fed up and stopped playing. If they make it more intuitive I'll have a reason to come back, but I cannot recommend this game in its current state.
