About
What is Zerun?
A shamanic initiation. A vision quest through a labyrinth of danger and meaning. You are not truly here — yet what happens here shapes the world you left behind. Walk the path of the shaman. Solve ancient puzzles, survive the trials, and gather what’s needed to heal your world. Earn every artifact, complete every rite, and bring your world back to life.
Two ways to walk the path. Explorer Mode: no timer, no fail state. Play at your own pace and enjoy the journey. Or test your instincts in Time Challenge Mode, where every second counts and the pressure never sleeps.
Two soundtracks, one world. Choose between two distinct audio styles: a dynamic soundtrack — fast, rhythmic, and designed to push you toward better times and higher leaderboard ranks — or an atmospheric soundtrack that surrounds you in sacred stillness and dreamlike calm.
A world seen through ritual eyes.
Your view is curved and dreamlike, a spiritual tunnel guiding your senses. What you see may deceive — but every detail matters.
The Maze is alive.
Run. React. Adapt. Paths shift. Traps awaken. Sacred items must be earned — nothing is given for free.
Can you complete the rite?
Master the trials. Gather the green artifacts.

Clever games curator review: 5/10. A very stylish but somewhat shallow 3D platformer; inconsistent design and difficulty with bits of collectathon, sokoban puzzling, moving platforms/time trials, and insta-death mixed together somewhat at random. Still, fun. The game has two modes. Hardcore, where you must beat a timer or lose, or Casual, where you can go at whatever speed you want. I played casual, however, some of the later levels were plenty hardcore enough, even so. The gameplay takes place across a series of self-contained bite-sized levels that are mostly open space with a bunch of collectibles that must be acquired, plus usually some sort of mild puzzle that has to be solved. Though small, navigating these levels is made tiresome because of the extreme amount of curvature that is used when displaying the world. I say displaying, because the true nature of the world is flat; it’s just how it’s shown to you. This means there is constant warping at the edges, and though video games never make me feel ill, this one did. Because of this it’s pretty much impossible to keep track of where you are in the world, which they acknowledge by giving you a navigation aid to show you where the next collectible or other target is. Lame. If they weren’t so committed to style above substance they could turn the curvature down by about 75% and have a much more fun game. The puzzles are mostly easy, from a logical perspective, though there are times when there are obstacles that can kill you making them somewhat harder. Death means starting over the level from scratch, though in most cases you will only lose a minute of progress. The last few levels however appear to be more or less impossible. A series of tricky jumps with insta-death if you make any mistake. Has anyone really finished this game? Certainly I am not tempted. However, I think I only missed out on 10% of the content. Before that point they certainly ramp up the reflexes required by having a number of levels with moving platforms where a mistake doesn’t mean death, but it does mean a lot of repetition. Thus the game is a weird mishmash of fairly casual gameplay followed by somewhat hardcore gameplay. If you’re only in it for the casual gameplay there’s at least an hour of content. One wonders who the exact audience is for this game, given that it’s pretty easy at first and then very hard near the end. Either people are gonna be bored at the beginning OR extremely frustrated at the end. Looking back at what I’ve written, it seems pretty negative. But to be fair I did enjoy this at least for an hour. I think it’s a case of a game that has so many little flaws that it’s easy to spend all your time talking about them. But it is a pretty fun little run-and-jump-and-collectathon kind of game, when you don’t notice the flaws. The graphics and music are quite good. And there’s a bit of humor thrown in that, while fairly one-note, adds some enjoyment.
A nice logical hopping game with the atmosphere of older nintendo games. I had a problem with the round world camera for a while, but I quickly got used to it.
A smart platformer that with a great time trial options. I was hooked into restarting the stages and trying to shave another second of my time. Great value for the price.
Nice atmosphere and music.
Fun and cute game, easy to learn mechanics difficult to master.
Zerun is like a trippy speed-run on little planets, at first the Little Princes planet came to my mind before I realized its acutally bigger. Both a runner and a puzzle, with some really good visuals. The whole atmosphere feels magical, like you’re stuck inside some shaman ritual but in a fun way (am I tripping?). Runs are fast, though sometimes I swear my keyboard hates me, or its just my poor reflexes, not my usual type of game. Was bored out of my mind with my usuals, so decided to try something else. And actually quite liked it. Only downside is some levels felt kinda samey after a while, like déjà vu in space. Its still fun, though! Good bang for the buck.
It’s immersive, has a unique atmosphere and can be quite challenging at times. Definitely worth a try.
A pleasant logic arcade game that can be quite challenging at times. There is a certain repetitiveness to it, but it is definitely worth the money.
