Good enough to put in an hour and a half on my first sitting. Turn off the voice over as that's annoying. But after that it's pretty incredible. The only VR racing game I've experienced that's not likely to cause me to feel a bit sick. I unlocked all the vehicles and tracks, but started to notice that I was coming in first and it was not registering it as gold when I looked back at the track selection. Some did some did not. So unfortunately it lost my trust somewhere along the road. But it's was still a lot of fun.
This is the game I've been waiting for a very long time. Developed, as always, did not disappoint. The gameplay is dynamic and does not let you get bored for a second. Also pleased with the multiplayer. I recommend this product to everyone, it is made with high quality - conscientiously. I can't wait for the soonest release of this candy. I hope the developers will not abandon the project and will constantly support and polish it. I will remember this incredible experience for my entire long and eventful life. Waiting for the sequel and triquel. I can not fail to note the excellent soundtrack, which the authors have endowed their offspring, my ears just finished several times during the arrival.
FIRSTLY: It is possible that the devs have shifted almost entirely to rigging this game for quest support. This could be a good thing. Anyway, this game is just incredible in overarching concept and design. It feels absolutely amazing to play--stimulating, competitive, beautiful, challenging, enrapturing. In general this game is perfect and I have no complaints. The absolute best experience in this game right now, IMO, is Upper Elysium on Hard. The actual final maps are gratifying for sure but this one is just splendid. As perfect as it gets--great map, great challenge, great music. Roast on hard has a really awesome map change too. Really, all of the maps available are great and I am excited to see where they go from here. However--Despite the big-picture greatness, I have many nitpicks. These aren't flaws persay, most are just the notes of a small budget and team: -only 5 maps with variations -voice lines get repetitive quickly -no settings menu, in-game restart/quit option, hyper-minimal UI -matches in a new map tend to start you finishing 10th in the first match and 1st in the second due to rank calibration, which slightly deflates the initial feeling of challenge and accomplishment -map designs in terms of added challenge (obstacles) are simplistic and universal, all function with minimal fashion, not too many thematically coherent obstacles that match with the maps (the Quest beta seems to be fixing this problem) REGARDLESS: This dev team seriously deserves the resources to make this a much bigger and higher quality game. The game on steam as it is right now is definitely worth the $15 and it will probably be worth whatever the revamped version will cost (my guess is $25-$30 if they really size it up) on quest. This game is revolutionary for VR arcade racing titles.
This game is amazing and has lots of potential to even get better!. The music is great, the tracks are beautifull and ships are amazing. Once you get the hang of the controls, these are also amazing good. Although I prefer to have the brake on another button. But that is personal. An Option menu where you could change the buttons to you're own preferences would be a nice to have. But hey..who knows...It is still in early access. Overall, a great VR Racing game.
My old eyes don't work this fast.
The control is very convenient, I liked it.
Pretty cool game for the price. There isn't much depth to it but you get a lot of tracks and it's pretty fun. I wish there were an option to change the rotation of your racer. You have to hold your arm tilted 90 degrees (so your palm is parallel to the ground) to get the rotation correct. Rotation doesn't seem to matter at all for speed but I could be wrong about that. It could also use an option to exit to main menu and a binding to change the view to rear view could be cool but might not be worth the trouble.
I had got A hover Bike game that ripped my eyes out recently and refunded it. This game s Great! and that's from A 56 year old gamer. Don't get mad if it does not come to you on your first race. Within 2 races I had it. And it's Great ! You hold and guide the ship with your right hand. Odd at first? Yes! But Great within minutes! Top 5 on my game list.
Game does what it says and does it well, and people who literally buy a game to then neg review it for being what it says are dirtbags. It's an arcadey game from the 'vr things stuck to your hand' niche, not a sim.
