Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Reviews
I came to play a card game, not read a thesis in a card description like it is some kind of law exam.
This game was interesting during the first couple of years. Now that it has catch up with the OCG/TCG it has become stale. Same events. Same rewards. Same interest in getting every last bit of money that they can get for imaginary cards that you even do not own. I believe that after 4 years it is time to try more rewarding card games like pokemon or magic the gathering

this game sucks don't play it
The game is unbalanced and simply a mechanism for Konami to extract money from you. Every ban list is just a tool to herd players to the newest product. Do not take this game seriously or spend money on it. Konami does not respect you.

this game is trash, man konami cannot maintain a good or "fun" format to save their life save your time and money, the digimon TCG is right there, play cardfight vanguard, even shadowverse is out there, just anything but this. going second is a "guaranteed" loss, sometimes even when you have interactions with hand traps, you are forced to endure watching your opponent going through an entire movie that you inevitably cannot beat at it's endpoint, furthermore, endboards are oppressively covered with floodgates and negates to the extent that every deck just ends up having effectively the same gameplan, some of them becoming their own version of slop (elfnote having no identity other than being a "synchro slop negate endboard spam" machine, with a number of decks having this same issue) planning ahead go to second regardless? you have like three deck choices, Sky Striker (the best one), Tenpai (bricky) and Gem Knight (really fun but rough to run in the format) monetization has become aggressive, decks require even more UR engine and non engine, and Konami has been creating an excess of "new special highlight banners" that cost alot of gems for low value, just go for the 1000 gem packs unless you REALLY want the decorations. (the expensive packs sometimes dont even guarantee URs) enjoy playing rogue decks? have a favorite archetype? it's already had it's time to shine, now it'll never see the light of day for 3 or 4 years until it sees support that makes it playable for a month max. If your fav is slightly more recent (maybe past 2 years?) you can probably make it into platinum+ but otherwise expect platinum to be the farthest rank you can go before losing patience with losing to the thousand hazards of this game i am very enthusiastic about being a new player getting into yugioh, but the new player experience is just a hazard disaster that's pure trial by fire, you basically require a video guide or a friend to teach you navigating the game if you're starting fresh, otherwise you are going to have a miserable confusing time with the game where you are vulnerable to making terrible investments that make it difficult to go up against people in ranked, the odds where you as a new player end up against a player with a fully built meta deck are far too high, and the ranked ladder has nothing to counteract this. Do not attempt to go into the "casual" ladder, it is also vulnerable to this same issue. DO NOT COME INTO THIS EXPECTING YUGIOH TO BE "LIKE THE ANIME" YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY HEARTBROKEN
Konami's servers are terrible, so even if you enjoy the mess that is modern yu-gi-oh, you can't play it properly. Constant disconnects. As of 2026 I would suggest you either find some other card game or wait for them to fix it.
Game is an unbalanced piece of ♥♥♥♥ -reduced to a compare hand simulator/coin flip simulator in 90% of all cases The "going first" in other card games, like hearthstone, shadowverse, magic etc, usually means having the advantage of the "extra turn mana" where you win the game In YGO, however, it means literally going +8 on card advantages and in most of the cases, modern decks can reliably put up 2-3 negates, in extrem cases omni negates, paired with 5+ other disruptions like pops/flips/spins/sends/banishes etc. To combat this, we have handtraps, but most are just trading 1 for 1 -means either i have enough handtraps to trade for all your starter, or im getting one card comboed to death by going first disruptions It's either the going first player gaining so much advantages from going first, leaving the going second player having 0 chance to win and can't play at all, or the going second player having enough handtraps to stop the going first player, and win in the second turn, thus the going first player can't play at all. Nowdays it became less and less a 2 player card game, but 2 players trying to find out who can play solitar first and who is there to suffer
Yuck, terrible meta and monetary predation.
