About

You came here seeking silence. Instead, you found something that won't let you leave.

YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST is a 2D psychological horror game that tells the chilling story of a young girl trapped in a nightmare she cannot escape. What began as a peaceful retreat into nature quickly transforms into a desperate fight for survival when Nora discovers an entity stalking her through the trees. This thing feeds on isolation and fear, growing stronger the more lost she becomes. Survival isn't about combat. It's about maintaining your grip on reality while something inhuman hunts you and the forest refuses to let you leave.
Nora's journey began as an escape from the noise of life. Now she runs from something far worse. The entity doesn't chase with rage—it follows with patience, always present, always watching.

True Psychological Horror – Mounting dread and oppressive atmosphere. No cheap scares.
Atmospheric Pixel Art – Retro-style visuals that contrast beauty with terror.
Environmental Storytelling – Piece together the forest's secrets through subtle clues.
Puzzle-Driven Gameplay – Use your wits to navigate obstacles and unlock new areas.
Seven Endings to Discover – Your choices determine Nora's fate. Will you escape or be trapped forever in the forest? Which path will you take?
Immersive Sound Design – Every audio cue matters when something is hunting you.
Solo Survival Experience – You are alone. Completely, utterly alone... or are you?

Short, simple, and charming. I played for under 3 hours and got a couple of endings, though I did come away feeling like I had not actually done that much. Some puzzles took me longer than I would like to admit, while others were very easy to see coming, so the difficulty felt a bit uneven. The story is fine. Nothing groundbreaking. I did end up wanting a little more from it overall, but not in a “this wasted my time” way, more of like “oh, that’s it?”
I very much appreciate the visuals, both the pixelart and the 2D portraits are great. I liked how Nora has a good amount of different poses and gestures and a blinking animation. Huge plus that the game is fully voiced! And it is really awesome! I cannot overstate how much I welcome this in these type of games. The puzzles are okay and thankfully not as obscure as they can get in some similar games. The overall focus is on the story vs the gameplay, which to me felt really nice. The visuals, the voice acting and the overall sound and vibe felt great. I got two endings. Both worth to explore. This is a very neat game that one can play through in one sitting, for me it took about 3-4 hours. I really enjoyed it. It absolutely delivered what I was expecting from a game like this.
This forest hug will ruin your life (in the best way).. I went in expecting a chill pixel-art nature walk and came out convinced the trees were personally offended by my existence. The spooky atmosphere is chef's kiss — gorgeous, haunting visuals that make you whisper "wow, beautiful" right before something invisible gets a little too close and you scream like a cartoon character. Nora's little psychological breakdown tour had me second-guessing every rustle and shadow while I fumbled puzzles like a caffeinated raccoon.. Highly recommend playing with headphones at night... if you enjoy regret. ❤️🌲👀 (Disclosure: I discovered this gem via Keymailer and was offered a chance to review it.)
Well I was enjoying the start of the game aside from the somewhat overpresent voice acting until running into some incredibly vague & obtuse puzzle barely 10 mins in before I even got to experience anything. Tried every bit of moon logic possible for over an hour and nothing works. If that's what the opening puzzle is like then I think im gonna pass on this one.
Muhtesem idi, sifre bulmalarda sanirim Turkce ceviriden dolayi sorun var. Ingilizceye alip yaparsin cozersiniz sadece iki seyde var onun disinda hos oyun senaryo biraz zayif ama olsundu
