About

You came here seeking silence. Instead, you found something that won't let you leave.

YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST is a 2D psychological horror game that tells the chilling story of a young girl trapped in a nightmare she cannot escape. What began as a peaceful retreat into nature quickly transforms into a desperate fight for survival when Nora discovers an entity stalking her through the trees. This thing feeds on isolation and fear, growing stronger the more lost she becomes. Survival isn't about combat. It's about maintaining your grip on reality while something inhuman hunts you and the forest refuses to let you leave.
Nora's journey began as an escape from the noise of life. Now she runs from something far worse. The entity doesn't chase with rage—it follows with patience, always present, always watching.

True Psychological Horror – Mounting dread and oppressive atmosphere. No cheap scares.
Atmospheric Pixel Art – Retro-style visuals that contrast beauty with terror.
Environmental Storytelling – Piece together the forest's secrets through subtle clues.
Puzzle-Driven Gameplay – Use your wits to navigate obstacles and unlock new areas.
Seven Endings to Discover – Your choices determine Nora's fate. Will you escape or be trapped forever in the forest? Which path will you take?
Immersive Sound Design – Every audio cue matters when something is hunting you.
Solo Survival Experience – You are alone. Completely, utterly alone... or are you?

A relatively short horror puzzle game with your character trapped in the forest by an evil spirit and you solve a number of puzzles to possibly escape. There's some small branching segments for multiple endings. Puzzles are pretty straightforward in deducing a code or use item on X from notes provided. There's also some pretty decent art. There's not much in terms of actual danger segments which kind of weakened things a bit for me (as a personal preference).
I like the visuals and atmosphere of the game very horror and pixels. I got stuck but maybe someone can get further than me. 8/10
Me gusto y mas que sea en el mismo universo de return.
Está bueno el pixelart y la historia. Tiene varios finales que le dan rejugabilidad. Una cosa muy buena es que el 95% (más o menos) tiene voces reales. Eso suma montón.
Was wondering how this can be a horror when it just 2D sidescrolling, but unexpectedly the vibes and the mystery get me hooked. The puzzle can be quite tricky, I am still stuck on one of the puzzle, but really looking forward to unveil more of the story
Gioco carino a me è piaciuto ci sono diversi finali
I was given the opportunity to play this on Keymailer and streamed it. Really neat game! I enjoyed the sound design a lot, but unfortunately the shack puzzle left me clueless and after exhausting all options on stream, I could not think of anything to do differently to solve it so I put it down. This is a me problem, though - there's clearly people who have gotten to the end of this game and they just made said puzzle easier, so, it's just me who doesn't get it and that's okay. You should check this out if you like retro-feeling horror experiences!

Short and sweet. Explored many endings. Good mental character exploration
