YAKUZA KIWAMI 3 is an extreme remake of the action-adventure beat 'em up Yakuza 3 featuring ex-yakuza Kazuma Kiryu's fight to protect those he loves. DARK TIES is a brand-new game featuring Yoshitaka Mine from Yakuza 3 included as a separate action-packed experience.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I can't compare this to the original Yakuza 3 nor do I care much for the controversies surrouding this game, so my experience is based purely on this as a game and as a continuation to Kiwami 2. I really enjoyed this one. I think the story is the weakest of the ones I've played so far (0-3 + Judgments) but still far from bad. It's a good sequel and builds nicely on Kiryu's character. The game looks and runs well and has a solid amount of content. This seems to be a fairly unpopular opinion, but I really liked the combat in this one. I think objectively that of Lost Judgment's is better, but I found Kiwami 3's more fun. It feels properly weighty and is a good balance between simple and complicated. I did dislike how little heat actions there were. If we consider Dark Ties a game (as it's marketed) it's... fine. Very short. But if we consider it a DLC (which I think it objectively is), it's awesome. Completely new fightning style, side activity, more substories, etc. The story was great and as definitely a needed addition to build upon Mine's character. Overall, on it's own, very solid game and blast to play through. I would not pay full price however. 8/10

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I feel robbed after the game froze at the ending credits and no way to save the game during finale...
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is mid. It does not live up to the legacy of Yakuza 3 nor does it share the same quality as its previous remakes. While I understood why many Yakuza fans would boycott/refuse to play the game, I wanted to play the game for myself to create my own opinion. Setting aside the elephant in the room (cough cough Hamazaki), I had thought that maybe the gameplay would be just as good or perhaps they'll make meaningful story additions like the previous remakes. Oh how wrong I was. The new Ryukyu style, while an interesting concept and a means to honor Okinawan martial arts, makes the game A LOT less challenging. And having the ability to punt and use a heavy attack after a grab as unlockable abilities rather than having them from the start is quite the odd choice. It was also quite a shame to see that Revelations didn't make a return nor Mack. And on the subject, some characters and substories from Yakuza 3 didn't return. So odd! And of course, I can't forget the grand story changes/additions like: seeing Hamazaki's "death" and then seeing him later in the final cutscene (How did he survive? idk), and Mine surviving his fall and becoming a Daidoji agent. Well I've complained too much, all in all 3/10 Oh and Dark Ties was ok, a bit shorter than the other Gaiden games and the bad part about it is.... y'know.... the whole Mine Daidoji thing. Uh 4/10
As a die hard fan of the yakuza series, this game really is unplayable garbage
The game itself is good, but in terms of being an actual good remake 3R outmatches it by a lot. And the controversy. So much controversy. Especially the Hamazaki recast (Teruyuki Kagawa is convicted of SA, which confuses me since RGG has fired people for much less) If you can move past that its a pretty fun game.
