wow what awesome visuals, feels like beeing inside a c64 the building is simple and fun, but not without flaws, missed some quality of live stuff
I am editing this review because there are only 36 reviews for this game and therefore I think this game is underrated. This is one of the first VR games I bought and I really liked it. I haven't played it in a while but it uses your whole playspace so that you move around yoursefl stretching and crouching while your controller is the fighter plane requiring you to guide it around, under and through various terrain obstacles coming at you on a treadmill kind of setup just like an old shooter like 1942 (whatever you call those games again). While dodging you also must shoot through a bullet hell so you can upgrade and rebuild your fighter plane for the next level. It is lots of fun and I will probably load it up again soon. I was surprised at the number of reviews compared to other VR games that I don't think are as fun personally.

Love this game but it is unfortunately full of buggs to the point of game breaking and hence I can not recommend it. Some times you can lose all your credits when resetting the ship 5 levels in and left wth 2500 credits on lvl 6 ???. Other times the blocks on the ship that you buy buggs out and loses connection nodes. (wings can not be rotated for visual appeal) Enemies will wall hack you (fortunately some times you can wall hack shoot back). This game has great potentioal if polished and perhaps option to get mote maps or chalange modes. Still woth the pay but sadens my heart to see these buggs. Will definetly change my review after these things are fixed!
Very cool arcade style game. Unique VR experience compared to most others. I've had this game for quite a while, and was disappointed with the EA game... I wasn't sure if it was going to turn out well... but it did. Valve Labs gave us a basic VR Asteroids arcade game with Xortex, and Zenz has given us a fully realized Zaxxon like VR game with Xion. Nice. Fun unique VR arcade game. Thumbs up.
Harken back to the... actually. I think the golden age of gaming just got here :)
None of the controls work, and it just makes me fly thru the whole level until I can finally take the ridiculous amount of direct hits to finally end my life and stop this dang game's awfulness. After the game starts you can't stop it unless you alt+cttrl+del. This is easily one of the very worst video games that I have ever witnessed. Just stay away.
I think the important tag here is : Old School. Because this is a VR version of Zaxxon.
Xion offers a kind of gameplay where old school is combined with vr to create something new. Personally i enjoy playing it occasionally. Got it cheaper than the current price, i´d say it should be 7-10 € until they polish the UI at least. If they did the sound, construction and ui better I´d tag it 15€. pro: free movement with that little ship of yours in a classic arcade setting neat voxel destructable environment new levels with last updates that immerse you even more construct really funny and clunky gun staggering ships cons: Text in vr explaining important stuff (barely readable and just badly done) constructing your ship is unneccessary difficult with no erase tool sound does not give any good feedback on whats happening to your ship
A ton of fun! Levels are immersive and flying is a ton of fun! Cant wait to finish these levels and try to make the fattest ♥♥♥♥ possible Looking forward to more from the developers
Good concept. Could have been a good little game. But the interface is ridiculously annoying. At the end of one stage with some water I couldn't see the bottom of the interface and had to leave the application to be able to start another game. And more than once, while trying to build my ship I either cancelled my ship or started the game by accident because the button is right behind. Also the way you control the speed of the ship by it's location toward your body could have been intuitive. But if you hold it naturally in front of you it is at full speed. To reduce speed you have to stick it to your face which is bad for the detection of your controllers and I end up bumping to the head set way too often. They should offer to control the speed with the thumb stick. There are also a few very annoying bugs. Weapons stop automatically firing which make the stage more difficult and more than once I lost all my money after an "undo last move" during ship building. And for the love of God, if you display words sequentially in a text box and you display them more slowly than I could read, you should be thrown in a lava pit. Why do you still do that? It's a shame. This could have been a fun game,
