Xenon Racer

It's been some time since I've played this, but I remember one thing about this game: It's not fun. I wanted to like this game and a prospect of a Ridge-Racer-style racer on PC is something I would want to see, but this game is not it. Sorry. The handling is not really fun. The game wants to focus on drifting, but the cars feel heavy and sluggish to drift with. Especially tight corners are an issue. Also AI likes to do some rubber banding and races really are decided mostly by the start. If you fall too behind, you won't be able to make it back up no matter the what and no matter the boost. Also, the game doesn't really know what it wants to be. It clearly wants to be a mix of Ridge Racer and Wipeout, but it can't decide. Cars can be damaged beyond repair and there is a health system of sorts, but I found out that destroying your car doesn't lead to elimination and DNF, but it just... Respawns you. What is the point of that system? Or there are speed pads of sorts on the tracks, but they are scarse and don't really add anything. It also can't decide if it wants to be a high speed drifter or be more technical like Wipeout... Campaign is not that fun to play through IMO, tracks don't really look distinct or feel any different to drive on. Presentation is also not all great. Like the MonsterCat music kinda blends into the background and doesn't sound any distinct, levels look pretty samey, cars look somewhat decent I guess, UI doesn't really feel all that interesting to look at. Kinda hurts to say since I don't think this game should have ended up like this and there was a potential, but I guess it is what it is. It's not all bad and it's not a worst racer I've ever played, but it's not great either. Kinda forgettable game when I think about it.

Пустые гонки на один раз. Онлайна здесь конечно же нет. Если играть с ботами то выиграть у них практически невозможно даже на низшей сложности, а без этого нет прогрессии.

это что за уровень сложности? тут вообще возможно прийти первым к финишу? не советую данную игру

Uno di quei giochi che dopo la prima gara diventa così frustrante che è più un simulatore di rimborsi istantanei che un gioco di corse. Non sto scherzando. Da dove inizio? L'IA è così folle che ti fà pentire di essere passato dalle gare a tempo alle gare contro IA. Avversari che passano dall'essere tartarughe all'essere irraggiungibili anche se guidi alla perfezione, facendo curve perfette come se avessero sempre il turbo acceso, mentre noi derapando perderemo l'80% della velocità e non si possono fare le curve senza derapare. 3 Modi di fare le curve e non c'e n'è uno che funzioni. O date un colpo di freno e l'auto "inizierà" a driftare, o date 2 colpi di acceleratore e drifterà come Ken Block oppure date un colpo di freno a mano e drifterete mentre tutti vi superano. Fare le curve a U in derapata è l'unico modo visto che le auto NON GIRANO a basse velocità quindi o provate a driftare o fate i frontali, è così che funziona questo gioco. Avete presente i titoli di corsa dei vecchi cabinati? Tipo Outrun? Ecco siamo a quei livelli, solo che Outrun funziona, questo no. Ripeto, ho preso un trofeo raro del 10% di ottenimento per aver finito le prime 3 gare. Si salvano solo i design delle auto che mutano. Un gioco di guida che ti fa odiare il guidare. Da evitare.
