Your journey to building a vast space empire begins behind the controls of a single ship. Explore, trade, fight, and build as you rise to command fleets, stations, and entire economies in a living, fully simulated universe that reacts to every decision.

Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I really like this game so far! Almost 40hrs in but there is a TON to explore. Its a bit of a slow burn but once you start getting used to the game you will really enjoy it. You can start out as a few different aliens or even start as a human faction. If you enjoy in depth space simulators that will take awhile to build up you may enjoy this. It is a time sink but you will eventually start getting an extra ship or two then you have a small squad to follow you around and do missions with. I think its worth it and plus its DLC. Guides are extremely help and the in game tutorials are okay too.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is my fav single player game and I think now the most played in my library. There's a lot of depth, flexibility and freedom to play your way (Timelines excluded from that statement) Each playthrough adds up to hundreds of hours, strange events unfolding, so much pirating. It's a brilliant game for any space sci fi enthusiast who also wants to run an empire.
Highly recommended. Great game from a great studio who constantly deliver upgrades and content. If space, economy, strategy and combat are your interests then this game is in the best money you will ever spend category.
Awesome game, i love especially the mods.
games ok needs a ton of work on ship piloting most ships turn like balls of tar. literally like your chained to something. plus camera angle are bad
This game is amazing. I love space games, and I went through a phase where I bought a lot of them on sale just for fun. X4 was one of those game. I wont lie: the new player experience was pretty hardcore and it took some time to get into the flow if things but it was worth it. The game is absolutely staggering in scope. Want to fly around and shoot things in a small fighter? Go for it. Want to trade wares and make a profit? Go for it! Want to become a shipbuilder and sell ships to both sides of a war? You can and probably will do that! In this game you will go from your one person fighter to an empire that will blot out suns and I have never been more addicted to a game. Base building, manufacturing, economy management, fleet management, diplomacy, exploration, this game has it all. Watching from the flight deck of a carrier you built as 90+ fighters launch, all of which you built, and go off to fight your enemies is a unique experience and one I highly recommend.
