Playing on linux. Game crashes at the start of a match, which needs to be fixed with a launch command. Game works mostly fine after, but still crashes when using created characters and specific alternate attires for wrestlers. Cannot recommend this when such issues are persistant. The seasonal unlocking thing added to this game is an experience-hindering mechanic. Also awful

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

2K only cares about money and I hope they go out of business
I do not recommend this game. It is way too expensive to still have to grind and unlock everything. The game mechanics suck. Your stamina is exhausted after every other move you perform. You get countered by stunned opponents. There are story mode matches against the AI that are literally impossible to win. I'm talking Psycho Mantis with your controller plugged into port 1 impossible. This a** game is not Fun at all. It is not worth whatever money you will spend. I will definitely be uninstalling this trash. Hopefully my $130 mistake will keep you from making a $70 one. This game is trash.
The most egregious microtransaction riddled WWE game to date. Complete greed. When the servers shut dow in a year, even if you buy it, you'll nerver get all the character because they are locked behind a battle pass that won't exist anymore. Combine that with this being the 4th game in a row with the "Save Corruption Bug" where each patch is a landmine that could blow up your entire save file, and if it does Steam Support will do nothing to help. I had to report them to Consumer Protection Act to force a refund because 2K won't fix their bugs, and Steam won't give refunds for game breaking bugs. Do yourself a favour and just don't buy it!
As someone who plays the game for MyGM and Universe Mode, I have to say that I just cannot recommend anyone else grab this game at full price. Every year as the new game comes around I go in unsure if I want to get it or not, but in spite of the hours I have on this game, I don't think I've ever regretted grabbing one as much as this one instead of waiting for it to go 50% off, or just not getting it at all. The hours I have this year have mainly been dedicated towards unlocking content in modes that honestly have killed so much of my enthusiasm from putting time into the two modes I actually want to play: -Showcase Mode: This year at least they put in an option to do a Gauntlet to unlock everything instead of the match by match option, which I absolutely did do. I find Showcase to be boring, I don't care to relive stories in them. And the What If scenarios just aren't very interesting because it's not like they go in depth with how the timeline would change, just shows what the other person winning might look like. -MyRise: I used to look forward to MyRise, but after years of letdowns, I've given up hope for the mode actually being good. This year, the story wasn't bad, but just was hard to get into with all the match grinding you had to do in between story. Just seemed like they weren't willing to put the extra effort to make the mode actually fun throughout rather than a chore. Not to mention you have to play through it multiple times in order to unlock everything. Again, wouldn't have been bad if they hadn't made grinding matches for Star Ratings take up more than 50% of the mode. Honestly preferred the MyRise in 2k25. -The Island: I was actually a bit intrigued by what the Island would have to offer, considering it wasn't on PC last year. And at first, I was actually a bit interested in the overarching story there seemed to be going on with the different Orders. It didn't take me long to lose that interest though, as the story is very basic tribalism for the sake of it with uninteresting characters constantly giving you missions to go have some random match (typically a 1v1 or a Triple Threat). And when you aren't doing that, you're grinding the Towers for VC (because I'm not spending more money on this game) so that you can unlock customizations that they locked behind a paywall in The Island shops. -MyFaction: There is 1 reason and 1 reason alone this mode gets all the hate it does. And that is because for some reason the devs are OBSESSED with locking personas behind this mode. Devs force you to grind this mode for hours and hours, something I have never seen another franchise do. I could be wrong, but I've not seen this kind of thing done with NBA, Madden, CFB, or any other similar "Faction" system, where they force you to play a mode to get unlockables (at least not full on characters). And not only that, where unlockables that you got in previous years are RELOCKED the following year behind the same mode for you to then have to grind all over again to unlock. There are plenty of people that enjoy these faction style modes in other games without this unlockable thing being a part of it, so I don't know know what made WWEgames think that doing this (especially to the huge extent that they have) was a good idea. But if they really want their games to get less hate reviews, and if they really want this mode in particular to stop getting hated on so much, they need to stop putting unlockables behind it. AT THE VERY LEAST, DON'T RELOCK PERSONAS THE FOLLOWING YEAR! -Ringside Pass: This is the newest addition to the WWE2k series, and I'd say their handling of it is probably one of the biggest missteps they've had in the franchise since taking over. I don't think the idea of redoing your DLCs as a Ringside Pass is necessarily a bad thing, however how they've set this pass up is just not good. When you have people complaining year-in and year-out about your other 2 money-grab modes in The Island and MyFaction, typically adding a 3rd money grab concept would be an obvious "No-No", but for some reason WWEgames didn't think that way. They figured it was great to just keep piling them on. So you have this Ringside Pass that you get 4 DLC Superstars and a couple moves out of, then maybe a Persona or 2, and the rest is filled with MyFaction Coins and VC. And originally the Personas weren't in it at all, they added them in after they moved all 4 DLC Superstars to the first Tier of the passes due to fan backlash. So again, like MyFaction and The Island, the Ringside Pass just comes across like a very grindy money grab. So with all of the time I've put into those modes to try to unlock as much as possible, also adding in AFK time for breaks from getting frustrated or burnt out on all the grinding from the previous modes, little of those hours in comparison have actually been put into playing the two modes I wanted play, because I just don't really feel like playing the game much anymore. I've tried to find enjoyment in it, but you can't even download updated arenas/attires/etc for a bunch of people due to them deciding that this year they wanted to re-separate PC Community Creations from Console Community Creations because instead of finding a way to prevent uploading Modded content, they just figured it was easier separate the communities. I hope that maybe this game will be a lesson for the development team and that come WWE'2K27 they'll actually focus on really improving the game series for the community, but considering their overall handling of feedback in the past, my hopes aren't very high. But until then, would definitely NOT recommend buying this game at anything more than 50%
MyFaction is the worse experience ever
Instead of improving the gameplay they somehow make it worse every year
The visuals look bad in this game. Idk how WWE 2k18 looks so much better then this sh*t
________________________ Was trying free weekend. Couldnt Play without 2k-Account. make an acocunt just to try? That´s allready a NO-GO.
