Gigantic open world, spiritual successor to Burnout Paradise, the ability to edit the world whether or not you choose to, the exploration, the speed (but not too much speed, yes that's right). This game exceeded my expectations and is a blast, I will be playing it for years to come. Dangerous Driving was ok but too difficult, and difficult to see and drive based on the speed, zoomed out look and constant glare from the sun. The team taking Dangerous Driving 2 and honing it into this found their stride. Great job guys, excited to see as this game continues to evolve!

INTRO
We are not allowed to have another Burnout in this world. How about going on a Wreckreation though?
THE GOOD, NOT SO GOOD AND THE BAD
+ Very nice collection of fictional cars (properly designed and not generic looking) + Technically a fully open map with no boundaries (aside from rocky, mountain sections) + Pletheora of soundtrack choices (mostly library songs though, nothing mainstream) + Very good sense of speed + You can teleport between parking lots if you don't want to drive + Map can be modified with live objects (they have to be unlocked though by finding random pieces on the map or unlocking them by leveling up) ? Requires manual Input.ini modification for full key rebinding (many functions cannot be changed inside the game, including a forced WASD setup for driving) ? Generally performs nice (RTX 3060 12 GB), but some microstutters are still present ? Has potential unpatched memory leaks (I experienced two in a quick succession early on, then nothing after that) ? No idea about the multiplayer since it's completely empty - Unpredictable suspension and crash physics (with Goat Simulator levels of randomness during Road Rage) - Game world is the opposite of cars in terms of quality (it's twice as big compared to what it actually offers, many uninspiring sections) - Car-specific events for your current car are not highlighted on the map and you have to manually search for everything - In places feels more like a parody than a spiritual successor of Burnout Paradise (some UI elements and game mechanics are a straight copy of Paradise, but somehow worse, almost twenty years after the original came out)
OVERALL
Since I refuse to install EA App (I was fine with Origin previously), this will (have to) do for a Burnout alternative, though it has some pretty severe issues. I understand that many patches and content updates were done since release (I got the game in June 2026), but the game could use some more patches for sure (the last one as of this writing was released in May 2026). The support hasn't been officially axed yet, so maybe there's still hope. It's definitely not unplayable, in some ways it can even be quite enjoyable, but it's still sad that games from almost 20 years ago cannot even be matched, let alone improved on in terms of gameplay. This game (naturally) looks better than Burnout Paradise and it also has open roads with no invisible walls. Other than that though? Clear downgrade in every other area. But if you aren't willing to submit to EA's messy and intrusive launcher just like me, then this ain't the worst idea during sale.
RATING
6.5/10

i got a question tho,idk if the devs will answer but,are old burnout cars((B1-dominator) still under criterion and EA licensing?because i would love to see tham as "barn finds" or even secret opponents with their own races and soundtracks
It's a Good sandbox racing game with having that burnout Feel. i won't say it's a successor for burnout, How the World is designed it's way to open world, makes it that the traffic is not that much of a threat in this game. it's pretty much highway racing with no cities and has floating huge race tracks. it removes more of that challenge. My vision for a true burnout successor, if it's going to be open world make the open world more like Burnout Paradise, maybe it has some fully open highway areas but also have large cities and towns you can go to. Maybe also have a built in level creator to make custom tracks or cities that let you add your own traffic density and routes that the traffic can take, with that it will create infinite custom created content for the game. last but not least let you customize your vehicle with decals for unique creative paint jobs.
