Buy this game! Very fun, great visuals and game mechanics. Very colorfull and immersive, this is what VR should be!
Ok as you can see only 1 hour of game play so far. However, even at the 1 hour mark its pretty safe to say what I have experienced so far is fun. It feels very much like a single player Hover Junkers meets Raw Data if Raw Data had bow and arrow lol. But in all seriousness, collision detection is spot on, hit box is fair, meaning you have opportunity to avoid within the room vr platform you ride through the level on. No real idea what the money does for you other than score as I just haven't gotten that far but I will keep playing to see. And really at the end of the day if a game can have you wanting to experience more, then it has served its purpose even at the one hour mark right? For anyone interested I did a quick look at the gameplay for my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipn_-0ugRR8 Gives you an idea of the gameplay without really spoiling anything as I die about 10 mins in! :)

THIS GAME IS FUN! Highly Recommend Visuals are great with an India meets the Incas vibe! Play is intense and well balanced with loads of targets to shoot + you can dodge incoming fire! Game is challenging and rewards skill with a high score table so you can see how well you stack up to others. I’m writing this review after about 1 hour, thought I was doing well but obviously missing loads as no where near top scores. The moving room vr platform works well – very comfortable and rewards the player for moving about to shoot around obstacles and dodging enemy fire. The moving platform means that enemies are always appearing from new directions with new rewards coming into view or being obscured by the environment. Bow implementation is accurate and the hit detection is spot on – you can fetch standard arrows from behind you or choose to use 2 types of special arrows within easy reach. I would like to see accuracy rewarded a little more so hope this is in a future update (if so I will update my review). I’ve had the VIVE from launch and bought most everything that’s available (and any good) – I can honestly say that this ranks in my top 5 games so far, in short its worth the money.
This is my very first review. I felt compelled to write it since I would love to see more than just the final forthcoming 4th level. I have played many different bow and arrow games and I think this is definitely one of the easiest and best to control. The aiming mechanics are spot on. The game looks great and feels very polished. It is an on rails shooter but one that definitely gives you a workout. There's no lack of enemies coming from every direction around you, above you and below you. And, the game is loaded with lots of items to hit for points outside of its enemies. It moves at just the right pace so as not to cause locomotion sickness. It's environments are varied and of decent length. The end bosses, the 3rd in particular, are huge. While it does seem a tad short, with the share number of enemies and loot to hit and multiple difficulty levels, it does have replay value. $15 seems a fair price especially since there's still one more level coming. This is one of those games that I really hope outlives the final level. I would gladly pay another $5-10 for additional DLC.
https://youtu.be/gWjDGQ0x0-Y Archery on rails... with collectables! This game is going to tickle that collectable itch you may be needing to scratch. There are items scattered throughout the level as you progress slowly moving along on your floating piece of earth that you can shoot to collect. Those items are tallied up at the end of the round and it feels like an Infamous/Spyro/Crash Bandicoot type of collection system as far as collecting all the hidden things goes. Graphically it looks pretty good. It quite a bit like Vanishing Realms in its cartoony design and I think right now that's what looks best in VR. We haven't gotten to the photo-realistic stuff looking very photo-realistic yet. My main complaints are the angle of the bow and the fact that collecting gold is meaningless. There's nothing for me to do with the gold once I have it and it's not persistent through gameplays. It's only purpose seems to be score related. Outside of that there's no incentive to earn more gold. VR Graphics 9/10 VR Gameplay 8/10 Audio 8/10 Locomotion N/A Movement by rails only. Floating peice of earth below you to combat motion sickness. Room scale to dodge projectiles. Replayability: Pretty high if you're a collector or a completionist Bottom line. If the gameplay looks interesting and you're willing to buy in on the promise of more content then pick the game up now while it's $15 as the devs plan is to raise the price when exiting EA. They've already made good on adding one new level and they plan to add enough content to justify the $15 price tag.
If you are a cv1 owner and hope that is going to work don't buy this game because it does't, and after asking the developers about the future support it's quite clear that they don't care about the Oculus owners, we don't exist for them.
An on-rails archery shooter that's a visual feast. Rating: 9.5/10 Pros: +Beautiful graphics and effects. Varied enemies. +Easy learning curve with good pacing +Liberal scattering of scrolls, gems and coins to collect along the way. +Very satisfying special arrows which have to be used tactically - have to physically reach across and grab one. +Player area is well defined, you don't need a huge area to play +Not a Holopoint workout but you move and dodge so it's reasonably physical. +Enemies can appear anywhere around you (with audio cues) so there's full use of 360 degrees. +Good bow model that's physically a decent size. Cons: -Arrows don't fall in flight so bow model doesn't feel as realistic as say, Quivr. Opinion: Really polished archery game that feels right and looks fantastic. The small issues i had personally with the bow model are probably borne of playing other archery games but it did feel more natural the more i played. Regardless, the bow dynamics enable fast and accurate shots and are better than most Vive archery games imo. Wasn't expecting an on-rails archery shooter to be among my favorite games after some pretty big releases recently but definitely worth the money (even more so if you can pick it up on sale).
This game is quite fun. It is like an amusement park ride, but much better. You get to shoot and dodge enemies. You collect gems and coins. You have special arrows that can take down more enemies. I have reached level 2 so I am not sure if collecting gems and coins would give you anything more other than points. It uses room scale quite well, the enemies can show up from all sides. The price for this game is quite reasonable as the replay value is there. In my opinion, it is probably the best amusement ride experience one can have.
You can watch my video review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/LYKL1_te_PU
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a 360 bow & arrow wave shooter on a moving platform with boss fights at the end of each of the 4 levels. You can move around the platform to avoid projectiles or you can shoot enemy projectiles. There are also some traps to be wary of. This game is a challenge, especially on normal or higher difficulty after the first level. Unfortunately, a lot of the challenge is due to the sheer number of enemies you have to kill with your bow & arrow. This game went for quantity over quality on the level design. Don't get me wrong, the levels are nice and the bow & arrow mechanic feels good (shoots fast & accurate). However, I would have liked to have seen more enemy variety in the levels and the moving platform does move a little too slow. Those game design decisions really bring the game down, especially the sheer number of enemy spawns / trash to get to the boss fights. The boss fights are epic. However, your arm will be super tired by the time you get to that boss fight. There's only 4 levels and you will get tired of seeing basically the same enemies over and over again (although there are a few change-ups to the enemy lineup along the way). Once you beat the boss, you can skip the trash. But you'll probably need enough upgrades to be able to get to the boss fights. Getting the upgrades shouldn't take as long as it does in this game (upgraded bow or the special arrows). It's just an attempt to extend gameplay. That's great if you have friends come over that can take turns playing. However, you'll probably not want to revisit the levels to get those upgrades. I got this game on sale for $7.49 USD. I think it was an okay deal given the quality & quantity of content. However, at the normal price of $14.99, I would have difficulty recommending this game as it currently designed (even if there are certainly very good elements to this game). [b]Rate 6/10.
