Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife

Abysmally slow movement coupled with no hiding spaces and here I am stuck on 20% of the game because the tall spectre basically instantly hones in on you the moment you enter a quest relevant room. If at least the spectres would have a set patrol path it would be doable, but no, the moment you enter any room they are programmed to instantly follow you in.

A decent game I would pay 5-10 bucks for. Apart from some minor bugs with loading levels or when leaving the headset on the ground I see no problems. Good voice acting, interesting story that isn't immediately obvious and even some bold gameplay choices. Played on Index. Kinda reminded me of Hinge VR

Ngl. Pretty boring. I'll admit though I have been spoiled as I've played some of the best horror games, and some of the best VR games, so it's hard not to compare but there was some unforgivable sins. You're agonisingly slow, the difference between walk and sprint is quite literally a gentle slow stride vs a hurried shuffle. Enemies are vastly superior in speed. Environments are... Okay. Everything is very blocky in style and it's all modern but I can't help but think that the constant use of simple cubed sculptures and simplistic squared off polygonal statues is due to the limitation of a 3D artist rather than a theme? I don't know, it just felt very... Bland. Atmosphere sound-wise was pretty alright, but I never really felt tense. It took far too long to encounter my first spook and it wasn't scary at all, just a dude hanging there talking spooky lines. I think the main reason for things being so slow is to cater to people with motion sickness problems, which I can respect, as they also go as far as providing extensive customisation in the options menu for motion sickness - but if this is the reasoning for making everything so slow it's just crippled the gameplay and flow for something that people get used to after a few hours in VR as it is. Again, I want to remind the reader, I am very spoiled when it comes to horror. You may enjoy this quite a lot, but for anyone who's an absolute horror fanatic like myself I simply can't recommend it beyond sale prices.

Получил эту игру в нагрузку к Vampire: The Masquerade - Justice покупая по скидке дешевле чем только её, пока поиграл не много но... Я хз почему это "хоррор, стелс и приключение", по факту скукота смертная в которой нечего делать. Только 30% дошло до получения камеры, которую тебе выдают по сюжету в самом начале, наводит на мысли что большинство просто либо бросили эту игру, либо никогда не запускали. Хотите хоррор есть прикольная Cosmodread которая вышла в том же 2021, или Phasmophobia.
