WORLDS AT WAR (Monitors & VR)

I was about to continue and finish a game I'm currently playing, but wanted to quickly check Worlds at War because I was curious. Exactly 75 minutes later my "quick check" was done :). This game has a ridiculous amount of potential!!

I've been in search for a flight vr game and Worlds at wars has fulfilled my needs. The first game which doesn't really give me motion sickness like others. For those of you who watched Independence Day and wanted to play out the scenes, this game hits the spot.

Early access game that is already fun in VR ( reverb G2 ) Look forward to it developing.

I bought this game on sale for $3.99. My hopes weren't the highest, but I still had fun and won't be refunding it. I will be honest and admit that the controls, mainly those for flying planes and the like, are very janky, that's something that can be improved. While the game may not have much substance like a campaign and the like, it's still fun to fly around and (try to) kick alien tail, especially at a discount. I can only hope that the developer keeps building upon this to make it even better.

Once you figure out controls, it´s just pure awesomeness. Hopely dev gets this game back to his top priorities, becouse it still needs some work and content.

WOW the Nov 1 update and the graphics look and make the atmosphere look amazing have over 200 VR titles! and this is still the most immersive and polished of them all. Now works really really well in VR and the immersion of repelling enemy aliens from sea and air is awesome. If like me this has been sitting in your library its worth another look or if you love atmospheric fast paced immersion in VR! I play using virtual desktop (wireless) and the quest 2 with touch controllers even though it has great HOTAS support on a 1070 and the graphics are stunning its like your in your own virtual movie version of Independence day whilst in reality your sat on a comfortable chair/sofa. I just keep coming back to this title as the immersion and atmosphere is second to none and the wow factor is consistent every time I play. The use of touch controllers is extremely intuitive although takes some practice but once you get the hang of it extremely rewarding. I have all the VR flight sims but worlds at war is a stand out title with a near perfect balance of arcade/sim no lengthy operations manual just jump in play practice and try to perfect. Bringing down a large alien ship is just jaw dropping..... ITS NOW 2025 and I still love this and it was so before its time and still holds up today its sooo freakin immersive and my most revisited VR game by a long mile. The touch controls are chefs kiss.

This game has the potential to be THE best flight game of all time.

This game is a blast! If you're looking for something that is an arcade style flyer that can go for infinity with progressively more and more enemies with harder "boss ships" in between waves this is worth checking out. There is a "normal" and "epic" mode which basically just regulates how many enemies are coming at your carrier per wave as far as I can tell- I'm not sure if the AI are better/more accurate. The sheer volume of opposition in epic mode does make it kind of a bullet hell if you get far enough into the waves of assailants. The game is singleplayer and I dream of a Multiplayer addon - the idea of flying wingman with a friend against hordes of superior forces ala the movie independence day (pretty sure that's what the devs were going for)- would be amazine. Either way if you're looking for something that will get the adrenaline going this is worth checking out- I love being able to jump in and decide hmmm- f18? warthog? apache? Either way some aliens are going down! Graphics are good, effects are good, weather is good, sound is immersive. One of my favorite VR titles- especially since I'm a dad and don't always have time for a long game session- with this I can go either forever or 30 minutes and get a rush out of it. Though I love it for what it is I feel I should make sure you know what you are NOT going to get. There is no campaign. No real story other than what you gather from the scenario- you're defending the carrier from aliens at various crash sites or you're attacking alien mothership etc. You do however unlock some of these scenarios though they aren't necessarily "linked" if that makes sense.
