Wizard Ball is a Virtual Reality team sports game for the Rift Touch and Vive where players fly on broomsticks and pass a ball between them to score goals while dodging spells. Six degrees of freedom and physics based ball control makes for a great e-sport!

Quiditch for Muggles! This game is fun! It's not quite like Quiditch as part of that is a little unusable, but it's close enough! Flying around on a broom? Check! Stunning other players? Check! Finding out that you throw like a girl? Check! This game is deceptive: flying around is easy... Sure, until you're trying to grab a moving ball on the run! Reflexes? Wtf are the reflexes?!!! <grumble grumble gettin' old sucks grumble young whipper snappers grumble grumble> I'll get you! It can be a little rough on the senses but there are some "comfort" settings that you can use. Personally, I found that after I started getting into the game, I was focusing on the ball and other players so much that I forgot that it was supposed to bother me! One thing, it takes some practice to learn how to catch the ball. There is a practice session that can be used but it's behind the "create server" button: the dev has mentioned plans to make it more accessible. Note that the game is still being worked on, like the rest VR; bugs will be fixed as they are found. They devs are active and interested. I did get the game for free, in return for a review (good or bad), but I enjoyed it! Like all of our multiplayer games, it needs people, but if you can find the people, it's a blast!
Обожаю эту игру. Все 27 минут проведённые в этой игре это чистейшее наслаждение! Было так сказочно что больше заходить не хочется, дабы портить себе впечатление от игры! (без негатива)
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Nuetral recommendation. It's not really what I would consider good, but it's the only real Quidditch VR game we have that actually works. So if you need to get your Harry Potter on and have a group of friends then this game may be some fun. Some of you may remember the free Quidditch VR game called Broomball and this seems to me to be the exact same game, only that it actually works. See for comparison: https://store.steampowered.com/app/504630/Broomball_VR/ However, as you may have guessed, there's nobody online to play against. Playing alone against the bots is only fun for like 20 minutes. Then you'll probably never want to play again. The controls are just too janky. One of the things that was inconsistent for me was switching between your hands and your wand. Firing the wand also seemed odd and I needed to be very close to zap the enemy for whatever reason. Boosting your speed was on some kind of timer that I could never figure out. To turn you have to physically turn your body as locomotion is gaze based (press trigger/grip to move forward and/or brake). Just grabbing the Quidditch ball seemed a precarious proposition meanwhile the enemy AI just makes a beeline towards the ball with no delay. They also play an odd formation of several defenders staying back and one forward that is just robotic in its dogged pursuit of the ball. None of the AI can shoot very well though. Rate 5/10. Again, with friends this is probably fun if you're all into Harry Potter and want the a Quidditch experience. But I don't think I would recommend this game otherwise. Luckily, I got this game in a VR bundle so I feel I got my money's worth.
Nobody online for multiplayer and single player practice is really lame.
Graphically, this game is basic but that's okay because what is has going for it is fast paced, competitive fun! It's a strategic 5v5 Harry Potter Quidditch style sport game that's very similar to games such as Echo Arena or Cuvrball. Ball spawns in the middle of the arena, rush to grab it, rush it for a goal, toss to teammates, use your magic wand to stun opponents or to absorb their magic spells for more mana, it's all very simple, fun, and strategic. Reading the introduction to the rules and button layout is not ideal (a video tutorial or in-game tutorial would be better) but once you jump into the game, it's pretty easy to understand. What's really great about this game is I get NO MOTION SICKNESS thanks to Room-scale turning! Where other games, use a vivepad/joystick turning system, in this game, turning is done by simply turning around physically in the real world. It's a lot of fun, especially when you get more than 2 or 3 players involved. Here's hoping some giveaway or promotion helps the game get more players in but I'll definitely have a few other VR players that I know in RL jump into another match with me. You can check out a quick Mixed Reality video of the game that I filmed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqsP4QVYkS8
I got this game a day or two after it came out and have loved every minute of it. the prematch entertainment could use some improvement, but everything else, besides minor issues that can be fixed with a simple game relaunch, is the best "Quidditch" experience out there. 9/10, worth the price
OMG AWESOME GAME ! MUST BUY IF YOU OWN A VR HEADSET! Can recomend as one who read all garry potter books and movies, it is real quidich ! Did you ever want to feel like Hagrid on a broom ?! That game is for you !
