Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

Bought it after the 0.9 patch dropped and have been addicted ever since. It's a hard game, but there's a dedicated community willing to help people get into it. Play it if you enjoy first-person shooters with RPG, roguelike, and souls-like elements. Avoid if you don't like frenetic combat.
Witchfire happened to catch my attention, and I found it interesting enough to check out the reviews on Steam. Most of the reviews were incredibly positive and convincing, which eventually made me decide to spend some money and give the game a try. And honestly, those reviews were not exaggerating at all. Witchfire is genuinely an addictive and engaging game. The game puts you into 8 different maps, starting with the first one at difficulty level 0, or Gnosis 0. You head into the map, fight enemies, collect Witchfire, and explore as much as you can before returning from your expedition. Once you're back, you can upgrade your character and focus on whichever stats you want to prioritize. This creates a constant gameplay loop where you gradually become stronger, but at the same time, the enemies on each map become increasingly difficult as you progress. The game requires you to have good aim and, more importantly, good stamina management so you can dash and dodge enemy attacks effectively. Resource management is also very important, especially early on. Ammunition and healing resources are quite limited, so you have to think carefully about how you use them. Weapons are relatively easy to obtain, although their power levels can still feel quite unbalanced compared to one another. As for the graphics and atmosphere, I have to say that Witchfire does an excellent job of creating a dark medieval feeling. The sounds of the monsters, the howling wind, and the harsh environments filled with witches can genuinely feel intimidating at times. The gunplay is also extremely satisfying, and the sound and impact of the weapons make every shot feel powerful. One of the best parts of the game is the feeling of progression. Every time you complete a map and become stronger, returning to that same area and effortlessly destroying enemies that once gave you trouble feels incredibly satisfying. You can really feel yourself getting stronger with every run, and that feeling is one of the game's biggest strengths. Overall, Witchfire does a lot of things very well. It still lacks content at the moment, and there is currently no co-op mode, but even in its current state, I think it is absolutely worth buying and playing.

Dark fantasy shooter with really good gameplay. I have been thoroughly enjoying it and would recommend to most. It was pretty tough for a while, but as I learned the level layouts and found a few weapon and spell combinations that worked for me, it got considerably easier. To progress to new areas and access new weapons, you must increase the difficulty which adds nice variations to previous levels - which is welcome because you will be returning to previous areas for various reasons. At the time of writing this, I have fought through the Witch's Mountain and gotten to the final portal but the final section/fight has yet to be added. It ran great with the single exception being a section towards the end with a ton of enemies and NPCs on screen. At that point there were several spots where the framerate dropped drastically. The game has crashed once or twice in my 70 plus hours of playing. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, and had no intention of putting in as much time playing it, but I have had a really good time. FYI, Witchfire is labeled an extraction shooter, but I don't know that that description really fits.
