About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

Witchfire. Genuinely don't know where to start, it is a unique and genuinely fun/fresh experience. Interesting and diverse enemy types, super clean combat system where all parts of combat are important. The preyer quest system to learn their stories was a very enjoyable and welcome addition as well to the game, and very excited for Marshland finishing touches and the witch encounter with full release! you know by the number of hours i have played that it is 100% worth your time if you enjoy literally any aspect of what this game offers. My only complaint(which is hardly a complaint) is simply how long 1.0 has taken to get around to, but with a small studio making a game with love and not dollar signs in their eyes, its something i can tolerate and hold additional patience for. Stop waiting and support this studio and the genuinely GREAT game they have created.
Very fun looter-shooter type experience. Hard to describe, really. But great value.
好玩,上瘾,目前来说除了偶尔卡顿之外没有缺点,希望以后能加入联机功能。
Best FPS Roguelite on the market probably. Really great system design (with exception of the Fallen Preyer system, too much permanency from the decisions you can make - and while the reward is good, it adds into the Rosary system which is already strained for space. So I just never judged the Preyers), fantastic arsenal of various weapons that all come with meaningful gameplay loops, and a well written story. Highly recommend giving this a chance, even if the beginning feels pretty unforgiving.
Rarely leave reviews, but this is my favorite game ive played this year. Its just so good Ive actually had this sitting in my library for over a year waiting for 1.0 release before giving it a shot since ive been burned out on early access releases, but i really wish id played this sooner. The difficulty is just right: not too punishing, but certainly not easy. Each Gnosis level gives you a solid difficulty ramp, but not thru just buffing the enemies; rather, bosses will receive new attack patterns, maps will get new enemy varieties, and a ton of new mechanics will open up - both for your preyer and on the maps. Honestly, i havent been able to put it down since i started last week and already over 60hrs. "10/10 would prey again"
Really cool solo extraction shooter. It's tough and punishing but very polished and fun. Could use some more map variance but that's my only issue, more like a request for the devs to add more maps before full release... or afterwards via DLC.
cant wait for fullrelease so far great game

Outstanding game. Can't believe it isn't more popular. I bounced off Elden Ring, but I love this
