About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

FPS Extraction Hades with great shooting, enjoyable movement, and a cool Dark Souls kinda tone and lore
Excellent game-play loop. Plenty to get lost in. Appropriately challenging. Looking forward to 1.0!

This feels great to play! Games like Doom 2016, Doom Ethernal, or Roboquest did not really hook me, but this drew me right in. The Sense of mystery and threat, the risk taking and leveling up, the very unique weapons, which have gameplay differences instead of stats. This is Early Access done right: More content gets added, but everything playable was bug free for me. I can definitely feel the passion and expertise, this game is crafted with. Also, over time, different playstyles are more supported, like careful explorer, Assassin, brute, etc. Also the performance is great, while looking very good. On my 11 year old CPU (I5 6600K), with a4060TI, I can play at 165FPS with DLSS and Framegen, or around 120FPS without FG. Highly recommendend.
boss房里放3个裂隙狂刷我真的无语了
I bought the game at an early stage of development, and the progress made so far is truly impressive. Nice setting, challenging and makes a lot of fun. Worth the money! Works fine on Linux with Proton 10.0-4
8 hours in, great game so far. Despite having terrible standard specs, the game is running real fine with very few stutterings. It feels like a high tempo halo game with Valorant gun precision. I was reluctant on getting this before 1.0, but with the sale I decided to hell with it, it looks like a great game. And now I see why they never went lower with the pricing, this game looks like it required some really high effort game coding. Wish it just was advertised as an expensive game, rather than an indie, would probobly bought it a lot earlier then. But there's a few cons I would like I give feedback on. Lack of Cinematics and voice acting is in serious need it gathering. Just gathering some water from the waterfall of one of the starting quests, or putting down salt in a line, needed a cinematic. I also don't like having to look down to the 'chat commands' to see what just happened when I followed a trail, or when an event happened. Like it took me a great deal of time to understand what getting cursed is because of the lack of guiding sound/voice acting. I felt like when you get cursed, you should have a sound effect with like the Witch laughing at you, and an angelic voice saying 'divine fortune for the faithful' or something like that, while also indicating what changed, with a red/white symbol appearing on your left. Lastly, cinematic when you open the santuary gate. Like serious, its a big moment. That you just click it and it just opens with no sound or anything feels terrible.
