Why is this still on Steam?

For now I am giving this game a 6/10 rating. The controlls are a little slow and the frame rate drops whenever my avatar takes a step. However, I see great potential and can't wait to see what this game has in store for future updates. While the game is difficult to play in its current state I will continue my playthrough. Keep up the good work!

EDIT: I think I had my settings wrong when I played previously - or I was using an incompatible setup. It seems to work okay now on my current rig and I'll be playing this on stream soon so that'll be the real test! Sadly, I am only able to get smooth gameplay if I'm looking down constantly, even on the lowest settings. It goes without saying, that optimisation needs some work - but I can forgive that, because it's an early access game. I'm really excited to play this in the future, and I would recommend everyone gets on board with it, because it's very promising!

Can't play it yet on my main PC. Always crashes right after character creation and in the main menu I only get around 12fps. I do have a very old GPU, so thats most likely the problem. I was able to try it on my dads computer and it worked, but there are some very annoying bugs right now. That being said, the aesthetics look awesome and the lore is very intriguing to me so it caught my attention almost as soon as I saw it. I think that it's very promising. It is only $6 right now and that price is increasing to $14.99 upon the next patch. I know the developers are in a tough spot in regards to money and I really want this game to succeed. Please support them as much as you can. Edit: Works on my main PC now, even if the optimization is still pretty bad. They have fixed the problem making it crash right after character creation. Still really buggy and the UI can use some major help. Combat is stiff and uninteresting at the moment. Voice acting is good and the story so far is... decent. I still see the potential in this game. I know I'm gonna be waiting a while for this project to be complete but I am still hopeful it will be, if not a great game, an enjoyable one worth what I paid for and possibly more. Who knows at this stage of flux the developers are in? Edit 2: The game is dead, has been dead, for years. Do not buy it.

Game has not been updated in years, enough said

Last time I tried this game, it had horrible performance issues. It has a really high system requirement, because of non existing optimization, and also possibly the entire map of the game being loaded on the memory. I only managed to play it after loooooooong loading times, and with a horrible fps. You might be able to bear this game depending on how pontent your computer is. Sadly, the developers of this game disbanded the team and all disappeared, so unless they reappear and decide to review the game, the game will remain on this deplorable state.

Tristemente, no puedo recomendar este juego. Era un proyecto ambicioso, creado por un equipo con talento (no hay más que ver el hermoso apartado visual que despliega ocasionalmente) y tenía potencial... Un potencial que no se vio realizado. Lo que tenemos aquí es un juego incompleto (un mero tutorial) que presenta una historia interesante, cuya falta de continuación no será sino una fuente de sufrimiento para los usuarios. El combate es escandalosamente malo, carece de peso y, al mismo tiempo, de libertad, los pocos enemigos presentes tienen una IA sencillamente horrible y, de hecho, un tipo de enemigo es directamente incapaz de hacerte daño. En general, un trágico fracaso.

So, this was rough. So, for my sanity I'm gonna review this as someone on a mid range non gaming computer . The game has nice concepts , the world gave me zelda vibes , the voice acting felt right , the lighting / atmosphere felt good . But, game play wise. There was a ton of issue. When, I placed the grapghics to be low . Hoping to acheive 120 fps. I was struggling to get 18ish fps. An that's with a crucible 16 gb ram card + intel 4 gb ram .In the low settings leaves looked bright white, animations were choppy, and character creation was very basic even for a beta build . While, I would recommend this to furries and fans of open world games . This is very hard to recommend for many reasons . Unless, you have a nvidia or gtx grapghic card. This game just won't run well. Even on my intel core i5 that is mid range in gameing . With how much I upgraded my parts . Wintanlore still runs rather poorly . An I can run some pretty heavy games from ue4 gaming sites . I would not recommend this game. This some serious patches and features get added . Because, the beta hardly seems to be getting any updates . This is almost a hard pass . Mainly, because, this game is hardly playable unless, you have really good hardware and upgraded your computer . Making you pay more just to run a cheap beta . As much as I want to recommend this game . The cons of this game's beta just out weighs to much over the pros . Making this a hard pill for me to say . I would not recommend this game. For any one on low end to mid ranged computers from wallmart, best buy, or any other store that are raw systems. Meaning, they have no updated ram etc . Unless, you have a really good gaming system sure buy the game. But, the ram needed seems a bit much for me to recommend to the general gamers out there .

Ačkoliv se jedná o definitivně opuštěný Early Access, stále si dovolím ho doporučit. Vůbec především po tom, co vývojáři permanentně snížili cenu pod 1 Euro. Hra je nedokončená, ale i tak nabízí překvapivě velký svět a pár questů, které představují několik hodin herního času. Vše je doprovázeno příjemnou hudbou a vcelku povedeným dabingem. Hráče potěší různé detaily, jako například fungující denní cyklus. V tomto stádiu však najdeme i nedostatky, po herní stránce například bojový systém či poněkud nepovedený pohled třetí osoby, dále horší optimalizace a dlouhé loadovací časy. V mém případě si hra i čas od času znenadání měnila rozlišení. Přesto ve mně celkově zanechala velice pozitivní pocity.

Its a real shame development has been suspended, the loading times are a bit crazy but it is ea but once you get in there is a lot to it, graphics look dated now but the world building is great, i don't recommend buying it to play as its not smooth and buggy or test for ea as its halted for now hopefully not forever but if you want to show your support then do, its very unique with elements of eso,lotr and the witcher. I hope they continue development as they have already put alot of time and money into this.
