What a pretty but interesting game. At first it was slow but had me hooked to get all the endings. The music was lovely and although I had a few wonky moments, this was worth the play. Thank you Devs. <3

This game was honestly a really fun and interesting play. The story was definitely intriguing and kept me playing till I found all endings, although I will admit it took me quite a bit of time to get them all but I think it was worth it. would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good story to play along too.

UI is a little janky but manageable! The art is beautiful and the plot was interesting. Nice little horror story!
"Winter Worm, Summer Grass" isn't a game. It's an e-book dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual novel/e-book/fan-fiction, this has no notable gameplay. It's just clicking through badly written dialogue that would never be accepted in print by an actual professional publisher. How did something this badly written end up on Steam? When someone can't get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam Direct under the guise of a game. This e-book from Japan is badly translated, and I gotta say, cringe high school anime fan-fictions get worse when they're mangled by Google Translate. Of course this story is about the author and their imaginary boyfriend in historical Japan. It's themed horror, and the horror is how bad and how cringey the writing is, and then the thought someone would actually try to publish it where other people might see it. Visual novels are tedious at best. Imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or Twilight (kidding), but translate it to a format where you've to click your mouse for every single sentence instead of just turning pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now take that annoying clicking and add utterly cringey high-school anime club dropout writing to it. Real authors are published in print and found in Barnes & Noble. This garbage only ended up on Steam because they paid $100 to self-publish, because let's face it, professional publishers would not only reject this garbage they saw it, they'd take out restraining orders. E-books are just a collection of cringe writing and badly generated character imagery (usually done with a construction kit/image generator). So it might as well be a web page. We don't spend thousands on gaming rigs just to use them for what might as well be reading a website. Despite having no cost, this failed to appeal to gamers. SteamDB shows it peaked at only 10 concurrent readers. This is a dismal public reception. They couldn't even give it away. To satisfy the global demand for this book, you'd only ever need to print 10 copies. While this garbage cringe e-book has no up-front cost, you can find genuinely professionally written novels and comics at a public library or through websites like Project Gutenberg. Your PC isn't a Kindle, and I can't recommend non-game e-book visual novels to people looking for PC games.
It is a good game. I have played all three endings and kind of understand the story it is a little hard to understand but I still liked it
