Reviews
Deeply emotional and beautifully written otome game that stands out for its poetic storytelling and introspective themes. It’s not just a romance — it’s a story about healing, growth, and the quiet moments that shape relationships over time. The writing is elegant and heartfelt, drawing you into a world where every conversation and choice carries emotional weight. The characters are complex and realistic, each with their own vulnerabilities and arcs that unfold naturally as the story progresses. The relationships feel genuine and mature, with a slow-burn quality that makes the emotional payoff deeply satisfying. The art style is soft and atmospheric, perfectly matching the game’s reflective tone, while the music subtly enhances the emotional experience. If there’s one drawback, it’s that the pacing can feel deliberately slow — which might not appeal to players who prefer more dramatic or fast-paced stories. But for those who appreciate character-driven narratives and thoughtful writing, Winter Worm, Summer Grass is a beautiful, lingering experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. 🍂💫
Before I played Winter Worm, Summer Grass, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
I've completed one playthrough so far and landed on the second ending. Going through it once took about 1 hour, which isn't bad for a free game. There are three endings in total - but from having a quick look at some of the guides, other than making a few different choices, there isn't really any replay value. That being said, I still give this title a positive rating. Mainly for the atmosphere and art-style. The sound design is also really well done and adds to the immersion.
There’s no worm in this game
i will say, i really liked the concept of this game! although in the end, all of the writing was pretty lackluster... WHICH is okay i guess.. considering it was free! even so, i did think a lot of the art was beautiful and like i said, the concept itself was pretty decent! can't say i'd recommend spending your time on this game though.... LMAO
Havent played much so far its good. This is for those wondering how it plays on the deck. Pretty good but saving is kind of pain but doable
Personally, I loved this game. Got the bad ending first try but hey. That's my fault. :)
Feels like a Junji Ito game. While definitely not quite as horrific or weird as Junji, this was quite an odd game. The art was pretty, the characters were interesting, and the concept really drew me in. The biggest issue was that there were bugs and sometimes skip/auto functions didn't work. There are 3 endings, a decent amount of CGs, and some interesting events in the story. If you do play, you'll want to get ending 1 last because that's the "happy" end and even then it was odd. All endings are just odd. However, I'd definitely recommend checking this out. For a free game, it was pretty interesting. Not super entertaining cause a lot of the dialogue felt meh, but as it got weirder on and on, then I started enjoying it more. Would recommend if you like horror, Junji Ito, body horror, strange concepts, etc.
Finally read all of the endings. It was such a nice reading, I hope the dev is still working on its sequel.
This game is both beautiful and creepy, with some scenes that are genuinely uncomfortable to watch. The mystery is really engaging, and I found myself trying different endings just to find a somewhat happy one. Overall, it's a pretty good game, and the best part is that it's free. I hope the developer finds the motivation to create more games because there's a lot of potential here.
