A rather peculiar project. A bit of glory chased by the creature. Are there problems? Yes of course there are. Rome is not a device of torture to be trifled with. What cause Pax Romana imperious to fall? Many things? Small or virtuous. Shame and disease. Religion and corruption. None of these are power. All of them are gremlins of sabotage. Rome was was never a good thing, nor was it the beast made to frighten children of lesser patrons. Rome is what makes and builds knights. Virtuosity and slavery. The spoils of war and the virgins beyond innocent reproach. This is the legacy of triumph and heralded victory. Rome is the demonic fever we teach as well as the civilizations we lie about. Yet here we place them in a future of wishful thinking Let us then aspire to theatre. Harken then great Caesar! Czar, pretender, dictator or president of sorts. As Napoleon said. There will always be kings. Even if we do not always call them as such. Stand forth and claim that lady of curves like the Rubicon, a galaxy in her eyes and lips of micro brewed wine. Risk crucifixion and fall upon that rack surely as the dawgs of war! So then, point number one. Rome survives, thrives and reaches for the stars. Rather expensive for a military society that must war and conquer to survive. Yet, plausible considering that the narrative explains the theft of the new world the r*pe of the Russian steppes then further pissing all over Scandinavia and the Scottish highlands. Don't read into my intentions too far. It amuses me to point out the actual math in that level of attrition. I agree that China would be a hell-uva fight. Imperial Japan however, had it coming. Point number 2. Clearly in science fiction married to rhetorical history, slutty women with defective inhibitions are the luv-child. I am impressed. No Irony of humorous subjection intended. I could really develop feelings of warmth and protection for these characters. Up to a point. Meaning I would personally only try to bed 3 of them. Lady lilac eyes is NOT one of them. Gawds she is simple as a mono-chromatic painting of rain. Just my opinion thus far. I am sure to many she is lovely. Point number 3. I like the arcade style space dog fights. They are not to too easy or hard. if anything they do seem a bit rigged though considering you can't easily lose a wing girl that needs to be a part of the story later on. I suggest the improvement of making the fighters 2 seaters. If this is to be an intimate dirty war of cultures and hormones then yin and yang are allied to both sides. Point number 4. Lastly I feel that the politics and subterfuge are very engrossing. I enjoy it thoroughly as it adds a bit of thinking between breaks to relieve the stress. The future is bright as emerald eyes and glowing with the passion of lust. Looking forward to the next volume. Hope I was helpful. Game on! Peace.
Great story which really kicks off as soon as you get through the first real fight (not simulation). Dialogue and music top notch and the spirit of Love of Magic (in SciFi and without the card games) emerges as you dig into the story.
The setting is very nice and original. However that is basically where the good stuff ends. The renders and animations feel very old, like pre 2020 AVN games. All the girls feel the same. Same body types and stuff, so not a lot of variation. Some of the cutscenes are done well. There is some little grind too, when you need to reach a next stage with a girl. All in all i cannot recommend it for now.
this review was written for early access version, so it may be outdated etc. before you buy this game you must agree with yourself that you are going to buy 3 games bundled into one: - book-size novel - RPG with turn-based simulator (fights can be skipped, but you will lose 1/3 of the game) - 18+ content is it good or bad? subjective view is below. ---- developer in the description says that "75 days" on stable branch can be played in 10 hours.. I have completed them in 18h and i thought i was fast (maybe if you skip text you can do faster, but you will lose 1/3 of the game). Current dev branch has "92 days" and i am going to play them at some point, so time wise this game is going to be very good. now, piece by piece. (1) the story it is fine. there are 2 downsides though: 1. a lot of jargon that makes very little sense during conversation 2. universe is explained through dialogs and MC repeats it multiple times (to different actors) which is frustrating this leads to sometimes boring playthrough that in certain moments is almost unbearable, you force it through and get to good content, and cycle repeats. i personally would extract boring stuff into separate "codex" so those who care could read it. but to read constantly about "centurion"..many times i was like "i don't give a fk!" (2) turn-based simulator it is interesting. it looks a bit meh, but to have something like this on renpy engine, it was unexpected. in total, it is nice to the point that when 18+ content hits you are like "what is this?".. and then you remember that you play adult VN. (3) 18+ stuff it is here, it is decent and surely has developer style. in current year it would be nice to have less grain in the image. subjectively, it barely makes to the level of VNs recently released. in total, i recommend this game even with all its flaws, i think it's worth the money.
i feel like this is going to be another epic VN like Love of Magic, Story got me hooked and all the ladies look great, feels a lot smoother in terms of transitions, the combat was super easy to pick up literally took me 1 minute to figure it out, the only problem i had is it finished and i want more lol, will be wishlisting part 2 when it arrives on steam

Nice game. I rcommend this game to players,
First chapter got me doubtfull. I felt like the story had no idea where it was going and was just throwing characters at me. Second chapter got me hopefull, I saw the direction the game was going to go and the minigames (which I actually enjoyed). Third chapter got me convinced this was a game for me. I love the Love Of Magic trilogy but Morningstar did not click with me. The good: - a lot of variety in the love interest - fun minigames - In normal mode, the AI doesn’t wipe you out when it has the chance (it’s not “easy,” but when you find yourself in a situation where there was no chance of winning from the start, the AI makes “small mistakes” that let you make a comeback) - a step up in story cinematic - a story that found its direction The less good : - walking animation is still uncanny as f. Valeria being the prime example - The codex is everything I hate about a codex (keyword + description in a long scrolling list with no search function). I would have loved an organizational chart of the Legion’s different ranks, an image showing all the ship classes with a brief description for each, etc. I find the universe interesting, but visualizing it isn’t enjoyable. - the nsfw animations still feel mecanical To conclude, I'm hyped for what is to come next !
There is potential here, but the game needs a lot of work. Waiting on feedback/ the next patch before I make up my mind and write a propper review.
Absolutely the best story I've followed in a while. The models were top notch, and I enjoyed interacting with them a lot! The combat sims were actually quite good and I'm looking forward to playing them again. I've seen better animations, but I did not lose interest in this game because of them. I look forward to continuing this story, and now I'm thinking I'd like to check out some of the other AVNs from this developer. Good job all!
