About
Windrose is a survival adventure set in an alternative Age of Piracy. It features the classic “build, craft, survive” formula along with intense combat and engaging exploration on land and sea.
Progress through vast procedurally generated biomes filled with hidden mysteries, hand-crafted dungeons and quests. Gather your crew and captain your ship through brutal naval combat with boarding actions and seamless transitions between ship and shore.
Defeat challenging bosses on your swashbuckling adventure driven by real-world characters and supernatural forces alike.
Every legend begins with a reckless crossing.
You are a captain who dares to challenge Blackbeard. What begins as a grounded story of survival and revenge draws you into a growing conflict between empires, pirate clans, and mysterious dark powers looming on the horizon. Windrose is steeped in the allure of the Age of Piracy.
Answer the call of the seas and move seamlessly between ship and shore. Naval combat is shaped by your decisions, whether you’re trading cannon fire at range or closing in for fierce boarding actions. Equip and customize your ship to suit your playstyle, from nimble ketch to versatile brig and monstrous frigate. And when the cannons go silent, claim your spoils and share a sea shanty with your crew as you sail onward.
Establish a foothold in vibrant, diverse biomes, gather resources, and build to your own taste, from simple shelters to elaborate mansions and fully developed forts. Recruit NPCs and grow your settlement to speed up harvesting and production.
This world belongs to the brave and the curious, so venture into the uncharted lands. Over 100 hand-crafted dungeons and points of interest contain endless secrets and treasures, though such rewards rarely come without risk. Trade with different factions to gain the edge you’ll need.
Hack, slash, batter, and shoot your way forward! Master a wide arsenal of melee weapons and firearms. Parry and dodge enemy attacks, chain different strikes, and keep an eye out for new gear, including sabers, rapiers, halberds, greatswords, pistols, muskets, and more.
Shape your combat style through talents and flexible loadouts with unique armor sets. Use food and potions to gain powerful buffs. Test your skills against a wide range of enemies and challenging bosses, defeat them, and claim their treasures.
Windrose is fully playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, supporting up to 8 players, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. Procedural generation will make each journey stand out. Please note: due to performance, especially in the late game, we recommend to play in the party up to 4 players for the optimal experience.

Прошел в дуо с другом. Игра очень понравилась. На предпоследнем уровне сложности прошли. Да, было очень тяжко. Особенно на ласт боссе (на старте без длс). Но после прохождения игру удалили)
Clear an island of all of its trees, rocks, and plants. Build a dock around the entire perimeter of the island and over the top of the land as well. Turn island into your own personal mansion with multiple floors and rooms galore. Build storage for all of the loot and materials as you conquer every island one by one. Consume, consume, consume. Clearcut everything... plunder everything...
This is more of first impression review than anything so bare with me;
I normally avoid Survival-Crafting games like the plague (mainly due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of them are sub-par at best) but Windrose is something else entirely. The main issue with Survival-Crafting games is progress or rather a lack-there-of. While this game is an extremely slow burn which might deter some players, I highly encourage those who give it a try to just be paitent with it as you literally start from scratch after being shipwrecked on a small island. Believe me when I say repairing your first ship and finally being able to set sail to the open sea is one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in a very long time. All that time spent on that starter island legitimately paid off. After that hurdle, the game literally opens up and you can finally start your pirate adventure. With all that being said, Windrose is defitively rough around the edges:

Combat is often unfair; both on land and during Naval Battles. You're going to die...a lot. Enemy AI in general is just too overpowered where battles often lead to frustration, especailly when it comes to naval combat. More often than not, I find myself outright avoiding enemy ships even if they're technically weaker than me and my crew.
Level progression is extremely slow and tedious where you can only gain XP from exploration and completing quests.
Ship navigation and Naval combat could honestly use an overhaul. It's not terrible by any means and does its job adequately but it defintely has a long ways to go. There's a reason why AC4: Black Flag is often held up in such high regard.
Lack of NPC varitey and interactively with said NPC's
General performance & optimization
Windrose has a lot potential to be a grand pirate epic that we all dreamed of. It just has a long road ahead before it gets there.
MUITO LEGAL, SURVIVAL DECENTE
I would not recommend this game. The meelee combat simply sucks. it's entirely limited by a stamina pool of 2 actions. blocking is useless, the enemy ignore it more tha 75% of the time. dashing is similar, in that you dont dash out of their swing arc, so you waste precious stamina and still get hit. everything will one shot you even when you get food. Food is entirely otional, beyond me in a survival game. the only redeeming factor is that ship battles are a good fun 20 seconds, then back to the pure monotony and rage induction.
Enjoyable game with lots of potential!
