About
Windrose is a survival adventure set in an alternative Age of Piracy. It features the classic “build, craft, survive” formula along with intense combat and engaging exploration on land and sea.
Progress through vast procedurally generated biomes filled with hidden mysteries, hand-crafted dungeons and quests. Gather your crew and captain your ship through brutal naval combat with boarding actions and seamless transitions between ship and shore.
Defeat challenging bosses on your swashbuckling adventure driven by real-world characters and supernatural forces alike.
Every legend begins with a reckless crossing.
You are a captain who dares to challenge Blackbeard. What begins as a grounded story of survival and revenge draws you into a growing conflict between empires, pirate clans, and mysterious dark powers looming on the horizon. Windrose is steeped in the allure of the Age of Piracy.
Answer the call of the seas and move seamlessly between ship and shore. Naval combat is shaped by your decisions, whether you’re trading cannon fire at range or closing in for fierce boarding actions. Equip and customize your ship to suit your playstyle, from nimble ketch to versatile brig and monstrous frigate. And when the cannons go silent, claim your spoils and share a sea shanty with your crew as you sail onward.
Establish a foothold in vibrant, diverse biomes, gather resources, and build to your own taste, from simple shelters to elaborate mansions and fully developed forts. Recruit NPCs and grow your settlement to speed up harvesting and production.
This world belongs to the brave and the curious, so venture into the uncharted lands. Over 100 hand-crafted dungeons and points of interest contain endless secrets and treasures, though such rewards rarely come without risk. Trade with different factions to gain the edge you’ll need.
Hack, slash, batter, and shoot your way forward! Master a wide arsenal of melee weapons and firearms. Parry and dodge enemy attacks, chain different strikes, and keep an eye out for new gear, including sabers, rapiers, halberds, greatswords, pistols, muskets, and more.
Shape your combat style through talents and flexible loadouts with unique armor sets. Use food and potions to gain powerful buffs. Test your skills against a wide range of enemies and challenging bosses, defeat them, and claim their treasures.
Windrose is fully playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, supporting up to 8 players, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. Procedural generation will make each journey stand out. Please note: due to performance, especially in the late game, we recommend to play in the party up to 4 players for the optimal experience.

Un jeux jolie et avec un gameplay intéressant
bon petit jeu
macht mega spaß
Probably the best early access game I've ever played. Super fun exploration and base building, with just enough combat challenge to keep things interesting. I can't wait for the next update, because I've completed all the quests available so far, but there's a solid 100 hours of game play content as is. If you like Enshrouded, you'll probably like this game, too.
I see it an excellent combination of Valheim & Conan. Windrose has a lot of playtime just in the tutorial so be prepared to be in this world a long time
Fun game, especially with friends. It's more difficult than I expected, straight up a boar will rock you. I played it with others and I suggest it to reduce the monotony that can come with survival games. Overall my only wish is that it had more of a Minecraft or 7 Days to Die mine style, just dig down kinda thing yknow, or those caves you find ore at let you just dig all around and not just at the specific nodes.
Windrose is a lot of fun! It's pirate Valheim with a fresh coat of paint & a ton of mechanics built for player convenience. The bases / factions / quests are nice touches as well. Combat is tricky at the start, but once you've upgraded your weapons / armor / food, then it works just fine. Great game to play listening to podcasts to unwind after work. Shooting with the blunderbuss and watching targets go flying never stopped being funny. My two complains involve the abundance of island content and lack of seafarer stuff. Other than a handful of quests, there's not much incentive to engage in the fun ship combat. As a result, 80% of my time was spent on the islands gathering resources & checking off locations. There aren't a lot of XP places out at sea. You also need island resources in order to upgrade your ship. In the future, I would like to see more ship quests and maybe more variety with ship combat perhaps in the form of bosses / mini bosses out at sea. In AC Black flag, there were enemy bases we could raid. There could be that along with larger armadas, big boss ships, krakens, storms, big beasties out at sea, etc. In short, good game. It'd be nice to cut down on the landlubber labor and add more seadog shenanigans. I'm excited to see where it goes from here!
Fun open world in the pirate era! Building are cool, definitely need more creative things, it is still an early game that has potential to grow. Battleships are fun but needs to feel more like a real ship than just transportation and hauling. Needs more interaction like building inside, improving its view for the larger ships, and more cool additional ship items.
I like bein a Pirate.
