Wildermyth follows heroes over their whole careers, from their pitchfork days to their powerful primes, and on into old age and memory. It’s a party-based procedural storytelling RPG where tactical combat and story decisions will alter your world and reshape your cast of characters.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I mostly skipped the story, the real fun for me is in the combat. It's engaging, versatile, and sufficiently challenging.
文案诗意,带点幽默风趣。战斗系统深浅得当,节奏完美。画风独特。好玩好玩好 玩,治好了我的电子阳痿!
A unique turn-based combat game with distinctive "paper doll" graphics, good lore and story. Many different character customizations and a lot of replay value.

Relaxing. First thought was, oh no, not 3D, but the artwork is great. It is like playing a board version of RPG with cardboard figures, which is fun. Story arcs are not very deep, but it has an enormous amount of small stories that make the characters more lifely.
好
Short review: 'Greater than a sum of it's parts' Longer Review: I got this game originally to play with a friend, doing character voices and such and just getting absorbed into our world. I don't thnk we even finished the first campaign and the rest of my playtime is solo, because the game, the writing, and the world it painted drew me in. Watching my starting heroes age up, mature, sometimes fall in love (sometimes with eachother) I couldn't help but get attached. Sure sometimes a rando joins late in a campaign and they're worthless in combat, and you'll not care about them but largely, THIS GAME MAKES YOU CARE. Before every combat encounter (more on combat later) you'll be presented with a short story sequence. these typically involve 1,2 or 3 party members. You're presented with a choice (or several), and these vary wildly between mild flavour text, hooks for quests, deciding whether or no to let peasants risk their life to help you blah bah blah. While the outcome (and how you shape it) isn't always clear... you can help steer the story (typically not the main quest) and characters in a direction you'd like. There are MANY of these events, some requiring certain party compositions, certain prerequisite events or the like. It will probably be awhile before you see repeated events, and there will likely be events you'll never see. The strongest part of the game honestly, is those little interactive comic strips (you can increase the size in settings- recommend for all fellow glasses-wearers out there) Combat is... serviceable. Not going to lie, this part will probably get old long before the story beats do. 3d square-grid based combat, but the characters are standees, like still pictures that have no animations and just hop around. there are some synergies to be had with level-ups/skills, but largely you'll (probably) find one or two builds per class (kinda roguelike in nature for levelups, don't get to pick the exact skill you want but rather from a pool) and stick with them, at least that's what I did. You can upgrade your gear... somewhat, but gear isn't all that deep or interesting. There are some fun boosts that specific relationships will have on combat, like extra block when you're next to a trusted comrade, or extra stunt chance (crit) after a rival teammate has stunted. That's interesting, and I wish there was more elements like that to combat. As combat scales in difficulty, you kind of want to kill stuff before it has the chance to touch you. Stuff gets big and scary, and either letting it spend it's turn running towards you- kill it on your turn... or set up defensive 'reactions' and kill them in between turns, again, my experience. The third element to this game is the overworld. You dispatch and co-ordinate your party movements (you can split the party, but recommend at LEAST going in duos). You travel region to region, exploring, doing combat, and building infrastructure (tunnels/bridges for movement, or buildings for extra resources). This was personally a little confusing at first, but it's actually pretty straightforward. It encourages you to consider party composition for the task at hand. Why is this important? because of... TIME! Time plays a part. It's not an RTS per se, but actions cost time. moving across the map takes time, healing takes time, building a bridge takes time. This time is measured in in-game days. Time will speed up if your party is building for a month, but the enemies strengthen in that time. they get boosts to their combat abilities the longer the game continues for, so you'll want to stay ahead of them in scaling. Blaze through the main objective? or clear out every region for more resources, (aka gear upgrades) to show up to the finale in best form? I haven't played on the hardest difficulty, so I can't tell you the most effective option, but both have worked for me. Overall I'd say overworld has the least engaging mechanics though. All-in-all, I still vehemently recommend for enjoyers of fantasy, rpgs, and reading. Bordering on slow-burn, the combat does evolve a bit, and then kinda just becomes one-sided (either way) and a chore. You will get attached to your characters though, seeing them visibly age and pass the torch to the next generation is a cool idea, and you can even re-use your favourites in later campaigns Because they're all just stories, some more legendary than others.
Это непередаваемое чувство, когда ты случайно становишься супер сильным магом, а твой друг также случайно вороной и умеет делать только КАР КАР.
One of the best games I have ever played period. Great alone, even better with friends. Go nuts.
