Costing a whopping 3,29€, this small game has lots of tags - black humour, casual, puzzle, 2D.. yet, it has only negative reviews.
They are actually right - the game is a fully guided hidden object one, that can easily be finished within twenty minutes. Five minutes if you follow a Steam guide.
You will play in literally A SINGLE screen, i.e.: a single MS Paint wallpaper throughout the whole game - there's a big wooden box and lots of items around it. Nothing else, the game hasn't even got a menu.
You'll be guided by a text in the upper part of the screen and you'll see the names of the objects around the room by hovering your mouse onto them.
The text though, alledegly told by "what's in the box" itself, is often useless and misguiding - you just may throw around a dozen of things into it and proceed with the game. As I said, 20 minutes are more than enough to finish this one.
In fact, you will need only about 20 objects to put into the box, and if you get mad by the silly and filled-with-typos text (that isn't a riddle, just some stupid misguiding text that isn't even funny) you'll just need to take some items and throw them all into the box. I mean, there's no penalty if you make something wrong and since the whole game takes place into a garage.. there aren't thousands of items to choose among..
Plus, given that the objects are limited in number, you'll get the same "ironical" answer every time you try to put a wrong item into the box.. so it's really nothing special, especially for this price.
The game isn't even that bad, but it's annoying and boring. It ends within 20-30 minutes at most, and after that you'll have nothing to do anymore.. and it's not a free game. It costs a lot for 20 minutes of boredom..
The riddles told by the box as I said are often silly and boring to read, many useless lines of text while you can simply throw some trash into it and progress.
And in the end you'll just see (spoilers uuuh) the box opening, the garage closing and a choice: restart, or exit game. That's it.
The game itself has some nice humour hints, and here and there between the lines there's some fun - I laughed sometimes, and sometimes I thought the box told me something entertaining..
But when you have 20 items and you have simply to put them into the box in a precise order, without any kind of timer or negative effects if you do something wrong (and you actually unlock an achievement each time you put an object in the box, even if it's the wrong one..).. it's easy to get bored.
So, if this was a free game.. it could have been a somehow enjoyable pastime for some bored players. Given its price, it is totally impossible to recommend it. It's literally 20 minutes spent into reading MS Word text lines and clicking on some random garage objects.
And the ending is just.. nothing. I bet no one hit the restart button at the end..
