White Knuckle

This game is actually so good man, idk what it is about it. The movement is snappy, it's hand holdy (pun intended) but also very freebased depending on your skill level. You can zoom through rooms if you're more experienced or follow the developer placed paths instead. It's so well made and I don't even usually LIKE rougelikes but this one really stuck with me and kept me wanting to come back and go a little bit faster, a little bit higher, and just overall play MORE. There's so much advanced movement tech as well that can be found and preformed that make you move so fast that you can entirely skip challenging zones if you wanted to. Like the flaregun is initially given to you in service shaft as a way to ward off a certain threat within, but it also pushes you backwards a bit when shot. You can use this momentum to basically gain a double jump in a way or use it to send yourself flying over long horizontal gaps. What is seen as a disadvantage of rebar in that it launches you off of handholds can be turned into a beneficial boost as well. The tools have many different uses depending on your playstyle, and it all works so well. Check out the demo if you are even slightly curious, it has the first two areas and gives plenty of room to experiment with the games mechanics. Really good game.
