Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ot exactly state-of-the-art graphics compared to today's games, but this game truly excels where it matters. There are many aspects of this game that can be described as tedious or subpar, but the artistic and narrative effort put into this makes it easy to look past the negatives. It all boils down to preference in this game's case. For gamers who enjoy challenging games highly focused on gameplay and action mechanics, unfortunately, this game won't hit the mark as much as others will. However, if you're in search of story-rich adventure and appreciate some good voice acting, art, (HEAVY on the art for this one, absolutely incredible and immersive for its theme) and overall creativity, I hope you'll love this game as much as I did. There's not much dialogue between decisions, making for some captivatIng and rapid-fire storytelling. I found myself utterly enamoured by some of the stories— you'll have to pay attention, however, for you'll need to be familiar with all the stories you collect over time to properly be able to use them. And for someone who loves folk and country music as much as myself, I really did not find the need to put on my own while playing, for this game's soundtrack, I found, was not only incredibly made and had me actively listening, but it 100% added to the game's atmosphere and made everything so much more immersive. The love put into this game's art, music, and story was just so deeply felt every second I played, and that more than overshadowed where it lacked in mechanics. 8/10, definitely do not regret buying.
This review ends up positive despite my limited time in the game because I really appreciate the stuff that the game obviously cares about: the writing. Its sharp, western vignettes with a nice folk-ish, country-ish soundtrack. The mechanical glue that turns it into a game just needs a little more. The walking between stories is so undetailed and frictionless that it ends up being boring and not meditative. Trying to select a story to tell a stranger also often feels like kind of annoying guess work and not like real problem solving.
Incredible game, 10/10. Rich with American Culture and History, Diverse, Honest, Painful, and Beautiful, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is truly a work of art and is easily one of the most underrated games I have ever played. Hopping a train with a pack of stray dogs in a trench coat one night, helping a living corpse kill itself the next, then watching as a man suffocates in a dust storm while trying to save his daughter in the morning, this game is a perfect blend of comedy, fantasy, and tragedy. Cannot recommend enough
没有游戏性就算了,手柄bug还不少,故事也是一般般,歌还行,小众艺术游戏
I have had this game on my wishlist for literal years and now that I've played it, I am quite disappointed. The premise of the stories growing as you go on and learn more about them is so intriguing, however the execution is pretty bad. I expected to learn more and more about the stories as I wander from place to place, however the "growing" of these stories is reduced to merely a Pop-Up with a single sentence that updates you "the story about the horse has grown into the story of the horse and the fox" or some similar shallow bs. All the artwork tiles that you collect have nothing to do with the development of the stories. each new artwork tile thingie that you collect is a potential "new" story which is not progressing your actual stories. So you bascially keep walking in a very repetitive way across a map, your collected stories only develop with a single sentence pop-up after you've told it to someone on a campfire, and that's it. You would have to keep switching the new stories into your "deck" of stories to tell them at a campfire to develop them further, but with them all being so so shallow, why even bother ? The trailer and intro of this game pack more storytelling and effort than the rest of the game. Very Disappointing.
非常好!虽然里面的小故事都非常简单,但是整个游戏做得很有氛围感,就是公路小说的感觉。音乐都非常好听,插画也很好看。是我喜欢的那种像艺术品的独立游戏。
