What Remains of Edith Finch

i initially played this game because i saw people comparing it to games like The Roottrees Are Dead, but that's a very inaccurate comparison. this isn't a mystery deduction game like the comparison implies, it's an incredibly linear story with comparatively little actual puzzle elements, and the "mystery" is basically spelled out to the player. it's still a very good game and a very good story, but you shouldn't listen to those "mystery" and "puzzle" tags, they're inaccurate.

A well told story that keeps you going.

This game is so amazing.I dont think Ive ever played a game that made me think about life this much... Every story had its own meaning, and each one stayed with me long after it ended. I wasnt expecting a game to make me look at life differently, but somehow it did. We cant rewrite who we are, nor outrun the stories that made us. The things weve lost, the choices weve made, and the moments that shaped us will always be a part of us. But life isnt about changing the past or escaping what we carry — its about accepting our story, finding meaning in it, and continuing to move forward. Because even the smallest moments can become something beautiful when we truly appreciate them... Beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable, this is one of those games that will stay with me forever
