What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 13.86/day in the week to Aug 22 → 25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An excellent short narrative game that is extremely worth your time.

I truly respect the approach to storytelling and the creative vision for the game but the story(ies) just did NOT resonate with me at all to the point where I didn't bother finishing it.
When playing this, I thought it was gonna be little more than a walking simulator. Instead, I found a tragic yet wonderfully told story of loss. A story for the ages, unable to be told as effectively in any other medium.
The story deeply resonated with me because of how quickly life can be taken away and how some people spend years trying to escape death, never finding meaning in their lives, while others choose to confront it and live life to the fullest. In a cruel twist of irony, the curse was just a self-fulfilling prophecy. If death hadn't been so romanticized by one member of the family, then maybe everyone would have still been alive, or died of old age, and wouldn't have spent their lives surrounded by constant reminders of it. It is not just a compelling narrative game, but also a thoughtful reflection on mortality, fear, and what it truly means to live. There is also still so much mystery and speculation about the family's deaths and disappearances and what truly happened to them. Alongside the masterclass in environmental storytelling and narrative pacing, the uncertainty is part of what makes the experience feel timeless. Does life really have free will, or is everyone fated to die someday?
What Remains of Edith Finch is one of the finest narrative adventures ever created. It tells an emotional and deeply moving story through a series of unique memories, with each chapter offering a different gameplay style and its own distinctive atmosphere. Its greatest strength is the way it delivers emotion through storytelling, music, and incredible attention to detail. Uncovering the history of the Finch family keeps you engaged until the very end and leaves a lasting impression long after the credits roll. What Remains of Edith Finch is a short but unforgettable experience that perfectly demonstrates how powerful storytelling in video games can be.
If I could only have 1 game for the rest of my life I would pick this one. This is a masterpiece. Im not sure there ever has been or ever will be another game just like it.
