Ein super interessantes Geisterjagt spiel. Mal Abwechslung zu anderen Geisterjagt spielen und nicht nach 2 runden nervig, Supi mit den spielmodis und den zusatz sachen :)

Such a cute ghost game! Found this game as a demo and thought it was a unique way of finding ghosties. Love playing with friends with just enough jumpscares/events to not be overwhelming or boring. Love the artwork, always a fan of the 2d pixel art. The Dev is quite fast on fixing bugs he is notified of. Love the fact its a slightly different take on ghost identification, rather then the typical : Emf, spiritbox, temp. It's finding and identifiying artifacts instead. Some maps seem a LIIIIIITTLE empty (bigger maps specifically) but it IS in early access. I can't wait to see what future updates bring!

Mal eine andere Art von Geisterjäger Spiel. Mir gefällt der Pixel Style sehr gut und auch die Art, wie man die Geister erkennen muss. Die Runden sind nicht zu lang, die verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsmodis der Maps und auch den Skilltree finde ich sehr gut. Ich kann es guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen, testet es aus, es ist kein typischer Phasmo Klon. Danke dafür. :)

So I randomly found the demo of this game about 2 months ago and it seemed like an interesting game, which made me curious to see how the early access game was like. Not a big fan of 2D games but this one was nice to play, especially with some friends too, it's really fun And now that I played the actual game I see that there's A LOT more going on in it, which is really cool Though, the Discord server and some people in it are extremely toxic. I got bullied a lot of times over there, mostly in DM's, just because I was nice. And they acted like they did nothing wrong, it felt awful. I thought it's a safe zone but it wasn't.

Definitely worth! At first I thought it would be a chill little ghost game… but after a few minutes me and my friends were already running around trying to figure out what kind of ghost we’re dealing with. Simple idea, but it works really well and it’s a lot of fun in multiplayer.

Überraschend gut und spannend! Kleine Anmerkung im Vorfeld: bisher habe ich das Spiel nur im Solospieler, nicht im Mehrspieler getestet. Ehrlich gesagt war ich anfangs unsicher, ob mir der Pixelstyle in 2D wirklich zusagen wird, da ich mir in der Vergangenheit schwer mit Spielen in diesem Style getan habe. Das Spielen der Demo und des Early Access haben mir aber definitiv das Gegenteil bewiesen! Einmal drin möchte man so schnell nicht mehr aufhören. Die Geister in diesem Spiel sind immer für eine Überraschung gut und auch ich habe mich das ein oder andere Mal jumpscaren lassen, obwohl ich schon Erfahrungen mit anderen Geisterjäger-Spielen habe. Dazu lässt sich im Übrigen sagen, dass es nicht mit Spielen wie Phasmophobia zu vergleichen ist! Natürlich- Die Grundidee ist eine Ähnliche. Ingame ist das Feeling und der Vibe aber ein komplett anderer und die Spannung bleibt definitiv erhalten. Ein weiterer positiver Aspekt sind für mich der Skill-Tree und das Freischalten von Maps und Schwierigkeitsstufen durch Grinding. So sammelt man nach und nach neue Erfahrungen und bekommt verschiedene Spielerfahrungen geboten. Insgesamt empfehle ich dieses Spiel vom Herzen - und das im Übrigen nicht, weil ich es als Streamerkollegin gratis erhalten habe, sondern weil ich wirklich Freude am Spiel habe und mich schon sehr auf kommende Neuerungen und hoffentlich viele kommende Mitspieler freue! <3

Cozy Horrorgame in 2D pixel art grafik, mechanik leicht verständlich und daher einsteigerfreundlich, verschiedene Schwierigkeitsgrade können freigespielt werden, geeignet für solo runden aber auch mit bis zu 4 spieler koop

Great game, the gameplay loop doesn't really get boringggggg, it's nicely drawn- (at least I like the artstyle) I'd give this game a solid 🦆/ 10, I'll play again. Tho it's much better with Friends- Eithery way, coolio game, hoping for more maps in the future- :)

[English at the end!] Was dieses Spiel nicht ist: Phasmophobia. Was dieses Spiel ist: Phasmophobia, aber in cozy! "What is the Ghost" macht vieles ganz richtig. Das Spiel ist sehr einsteigerfreundlich, da die Mechaniken sinnvoll, kurzweilig und leicht verständlich sind. Trotzdem hat der Developer (Einzahl!) es geschafft, die Runden so spannend zu halten, sodass die Einstiegsschwelle sehr gering ist. Sehr gut! Die Runden sind schnell gespielt, und der Progress ist greifbar und läuft nebenbei mit. Es gibt leichte RPG-Elemente, das Leveln läuft mit, der Grundtenor ist kappaesk (und dadurch witzig). Bugs sind keine (bzw. wenige, nicht spielentscheidende) vorhanden, das Spiel läuft sehr rund, auch auf niedrigen Specs. Der Dev ist bemüht auf die Rückmeldungen seiner Spieler zu hören. In der Community kommt das Spiel als Phasmo-Alternative sehr gut an, es brauchte quasi keine Überzeugungsarbeit, und bereits nach kurzer Zeit ließen sich volle Lobbies bilden. Der Multiplayer läuft (bis auf wenige Eigenheiten) sauber und rund - stetige Absprache ist via Ingame Chat (kein Voice!) möglich und auch notwendig. Insgesamt: Ein sehr rundes Spiel, dem man seinen Early Access nicht anmerkt. "What is the Ghost" does many things right. The game is very beginner-friendly, as the mechanics are sensible, entertaining, and easy to understand. Despite this, the developer (singular!) has managed to keep the rounds so exciting that the barrier to entry is very low. Excellent! The rounds are quick and progress is tangible and happens naturally. There are little RPG elements, leveling is integrated, and the overall tone is Kappaesque (and therefore funny). There are no bugs (or very few, non-game-breaking) and the game runs very smoothly, even on low specs. The developer is keen to listen to player feedback. The game is very well received in the community as a Phasmo alternative; it needed literally no convincing, and full lobbies were formed in no time. The multiplayer runs smoothly (with a few minor quirks) – constant communication via in-game chat (no voice chat!) is possible and necessary. Overall: A very polished game that doesn't show its Early Access status. Highly recommended for quick, fun, and entertaining rounds!
