I LOVE the Westward series. I remember playing the first one as a kid, and could not wait to try the second and third games as well. To this day, I still play all three games, and love the addicting city-management style of game. I prefer the first game's graphics over the second and third, but the gameplay is just as good! The second and third games have Sandbox mode, also!
Although it looks to be intended for a yonger crowd, it is a fun time killer. I have not yet tried the third installment but i¨m lokking forward to it. the second game had evolved in mechanik and graphick and rises my expektations for the third one. collorfull characters keeps popping up and keeps the game alive, and it may not be as easy as it seems at first glance If you like casual games this is a very good buy.

Execellent settlement management sims, with a simple RTS-like interface. If you like realtime strategy games, but really want to take a break from all that war and just build a nice little town... Or if you enjoy more complicated settlement management games but want to try something a bit more light and relaxing... Then the Westward games are for you.
I'm an old broad and I loved replaying these games during COVID! Very casual and a great time-killer but still requires some strategy.
Goofy and fun, but definitely intended for younger players. A bit of tongue-in-cheek humour for the older set, and lots of colourful characters to keep the young'uns interested. Still playing the first game in the set, so I expect evolution in gameply mechanics. Small screen size is ideal for laptops, but a chore in big-picture mode. Definitely not controller-friendly.
Nostalgia intensifies
The original Westward (1st game in collection) is an iconic blast from the past town simulator. It's the perfect mix of time management, decision making, and plain fun.
Westward was one of my favourite childhood games, but to this day is still a great game to play. I've been indulging in that nostalgic feeling it gives me for the past few days, and have yet to lose interest. Each game follows the same concept, while giving a unique spin off with original heroes to play as, challenges to complete, buildings to add to your town, etc. Also, although it is intended for a younger audience, there's some added humour clearly intended for the adults who play the game. Overall, it's a great time-killer.
A classic! I love this game :)
I can remember playing Westward years ago, and I always thought it was so fun! After some googling to find what the name of the game was, I was excited to learn the whole collection was on Steam for such a reasonable price. It is every bit as fun as I remember it, and I'm excited to own it!
