About
It's the ultimate battle between werewolves and human supremacists, and your werewolf pack is caught in the middle of a four-way fight!
Werewolves 3: Evolution's End is the third installment of Jeffrey Dean's acclaimed "Claw, Shadow, and Sage" series, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based, 680,000 words and hundreds of choices, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
After years of conspiracies, secrets, and escalation, the fight has finally come out into the open.
In one corner, there's the Human Sovereignty Movement (HSM), a paramilitary mercenary force, dedicated to eradicating all werewolves, led by your father, Colonel Williams, who is secretly a werewolf.
Opposing them, there's Packleader Sonoma, a werewolf supremacist who would gladly kill and even torture HSM operatives. She plans to deploy an experimental bioweapon to turn humans into werewolves (never mind that most humans don't survive the transformation), starting with the HSM.
The US military is fighting both sides, as high-ranking werewolf undercover agents inside the military try to stop the HSM and Sonoma's bioweapon, even if that means killing your entire pack.
And then there's Maker, the mysterious scientist who developed Sonoma's bioweapon, performing cruel and unforgivable experiments on humans and werewolves alike in her obsession with "accelerating evolution." When your pack fell prey to a mysterious disease that unleashes feral rage, Maker developed a weekly injection to suppress your inner beast. Now, the pack must protect her until she can discover a permanent cure for the disease. But Maker's true motivations are unknown. Is she your pack's last hope or its greatest threat? Will your greatest enemy turn out to be your own feral self?
What future are you truly working towards? Do you wish to bring about peace between humans and werewolves, or to destroy humanity so that wolves can reign in the ashes? Choose your friends carefully, and keep your enemies at bay, because the ultimate battle is coming.

Im always shocked by how much i enjoy these interactive novel stories. Very good story over all where especially if you have been playing since the first game, is interesting to see how much impact it feels you have with your choices. Would highly recommend if you played the previous 2 games, or just think it sounds interesting.
Great game with lots of action, characters I cared about, mysteries to uncover, plot twists and big choices that seemed to affect the outcome. The thing that sticks with me the most is that I was so torn over what to do about one of the characters. I had enough agency to support or end them and the story kept twisting and I kept finding out more about them that I actually went from one extreme to the other over them. I think that's a testament to great writing. It also makes me think this will have good replay value. What if I chose differently? After the ending the game actually told me what path I had followed, Path of Shadow, and gave me a password to rebuild a new character with different stats for a replay. Highly recommended!

Werewolves 3: Evolution's End

Overview:
Werewolves 3 continues the high stakes of the previous games, while improving the exploration aspect. Although there are some frustrating bits, it’s by far worth the experience.
Brief Summary:
Upon seeing the release of Werewolves 3, I replayed the first two games in the series, Werewolves: Haven Rising and Werewolves 2: Pack Mentality, for the first time in years. Both games are very different from the werewolf games I’ve played and enjoyed recently. There’s something more science-fictiony and more grounded in reality about them that normally wouldn’t work for me, but does because of how the author executes the world-building and characters. With as few spoilers as possible, the Werewolves series takes the player character, a young werewolf on the cusp of adulthood, through the harrowing journey of revolution and freedom fighting. Your character deals with pack politics, the cost of freedom, and differing perspectives on how to get there. By book three, the pack has established characterizations and beliefs. You know who is going to have more anti-human sentiments, pro-violence sentiments, and for the first time you can see what characters imagine their post-revolution lives could look like. Werewolves inspires hope, despite its darker tone. Book 3 hits it stride when it’s inwardly focused. What does everyone want? How are we going to get it? Do we accept the costs for getting it? At the same time, we have the opportunity to return to place we’ve been before from a new perspective. Looking through the other side of the mirror is disconcerting and uncomfortable in the best way. Things that you thought you knew are turned around, and beliefs you had established are challenged. Book 3 also allows careful exploration and has the patience (and wordcount) to offer varying pathways of discovery. I definitely haven’t played every route of this game (so many branches) but I didn’t necessarily feel that it was needed to get the core experience. My PC was able to carve her own path, and that was more important than seeking out every hidden corner/crevice available. On the other hand, there were definitely elements of the gameplay that didn’t work for me. In Werewolves 2: Pack Mentality, I started to chafe against certain aspects of the story structure. There’s a certain powerlessness that gets enforced through two outside leader-type characters. Caught in the middle of their conflict, they order you to go here and there, do this and that, save the other leader character and betray them. While there are choices in how to do these things and how you feel about doing them, another example of how the game is well-crafted, this was definitely a low point in the series for me as I found both characters intolerable. Considering the ending of book 2, I had hoped I was finally free from these two characters and the chokehold narrative structuring they represented. Imagine my surprise to see the two, and the structuring, back in action in book 3. They are, by far, the most frustrating part of the book to me. Every time I’m forced to ‘see their side,’ or ‘side with one over the other’ AGAIN, I feel pushed into a corner. Despite what didn’t work for me, there’s far more to praise in the game than there is to critique.
Werewolves 3: Evolution's End is an excellent entry into the series, with careful incorporation of choice and exploration.
If you’re even slightly curious about the game, please give it a try.
Rec or No?
I enthusiastically recommend this game!
10/10 for good narrative . I suggest this book .
Good
very good story and options to choose.
Werewolves 3: Evolution's End jatkaa edelleen hyvää tarinaa.
Rather interesting story and I do miss those old CYOA books, this feels very akin to them. Definitely worth a look, especially if you like cyoa, werewolves, and batting pesky humans about!
This was a very good, pleasant ride. I loved the three games and the IP in general. I particularly liked the fact that we have three important, powerful, complex characters who were women fighting, comploting, working together. The aspect I dislked was that the sexe scenes was obviously written by a straight cis man, and even if it's not that bad, I think the author would truly benefit from sensitivy readers. That could help him enhance his writing by giving him insight from different people, experiences he doesn't have. I would also like the characters to be more precisely described in order to have more BIPOC representation (it's not specified and I would like to feel like non white characters are here, and are many). I hope there will be another game!
Good sequel, enjoyed it.
