Welcome to Bummertown

For how cheap this game is it's still gotta be one of my favorites. The shtick is hilarious (fourth-wall-breaking jokes are exactly my sense of humor so I guess it just clicked with me) and the puzzles are fun. I do wish the decision to add a female character option felt less like an afterthought (both the player character's "AAAAAHHHH" voiceover and the dialogue referencing the player character's gender seem to have been forgotten, which is almost more annoying than not having the option at all) but that's the only thing I don't like about it. Just super chill and goofy and I love it.

A premissa gira em torno da busca por um personagem desaparecido, mas o grande diferencial está na metalinguagem: os personagens quebram a quarta parede, há "glitches" espalhados pelo jogo e os NPCs têm consciência de que estão dentro de um jogo. Esse tom cômico e autodepreciativo pode ser divertido para quem gosta desse tipo de abordagem. No entanto, a jogabilidade em si é extremamente repetitiva. A maior parte do tempo é gasta buscando itens e entregando-os a personagens, seguindo um ciclo que raramente muda. Por exemplo, um NPC pede ingredientes para fazer uma pizza, então você sai explorando e pegando os itens para entregá-los. Outro personagem pede para encontrar seus gatos, e novamente você sai pelo mapa completando a tarefa. O jogo inteiro se resume a buscar e entregar itens, o que pode se tornar cansativo rapidamente. Felizmente, a curta duração impede que o jogo se torne excessivamente entediante. Se fosse mais longo, a repetitividade seria um problema maior. This is one of the games of all time.

Crude graphics, but an intresting story, likable characters, and pretty decent puzzles. the final stage has loose controls but its plenty fun anyways.

Juego entretenido y divertido, buena historia.

Unfinished glitchy mess with boring gameplay, tedious walking simulator, a lot of silly jokes and breaking the fourth wall, in short, I like it!
