Weed Shop 4: Highland

Loved WS3. Continue to love WS3. Was so excited for this game but it's currently trash. Clunky and bare bones. Was gonna stick around to see if it got better but then they decided to update the game with AI images. Their excuse was we needed to be able to look at something on the loading screen. They seemed to do fine in WS3.... And honestly, I'd rather watch the logo spin than see AI. Sure, they give you a handy little button to turn it off but I prefer to put my money where my mouth is and not support AI users. Found out about it more than two weeks after launch, when I bought the game, so now I warn you. If you decide to put your money where your mouth is, don't buy this game. Support a dev that gets more creative than an AI loading image.

Really makes you wonder what the dev had been doing in the 2+ years since the initial reveal, because they for sure weren't working on this turd. Nearly all of the community hype over this game has completely died, first from the years of waiting with zero updates, then from the absolutely horrid launch. Launched in a completely unplayable state. Had a lot of patches early on, but they've gotten pretty infrequent now. Dev refuses to write patch notes (he's only done it twice so far), so even when there is a patch, nobody knows what changed. Dev himself is basically non-existent in the Discord despite what the community admins say. Really tired and pathetic way of developing and maintaining an early access game.

Absolute trash, beginning of the game is confusing and bogged down with useless character dialogue. I figuered after Weed Shop 3 than this game would be a step up but it's really not. I will stick to playing Weed Shop 2 and 3. What did the devs actually do for the 2 years they were allegedly developing this?

i wanna like it, played 3k of weed shop 3, so disappointing to even release this for $20. Feels like it lost its soul. game is completely changed, dev put too much work into the looks of the small island and water and no work in the tutorial or story. YOU COULDVE JUST MADE A NEW MAP WITH NEW MISSIONS AND STRAINS AND WE WOULDVE BEEN HAPPY!!! No mention of any old characters, no funny weed plot or relevant jokes like in 3 to keep the walking interesting plus the added AI art is just sad. Weed shop dies with 3 if the game stays like this.

Not ready for launch, needs at least a year or two more in the oven, a big downgrade to 3 at it's current state. So many unneccessary tedious mechanics, riddled with bugs everywhere, painful inventory management... Overall it's just not there, not even close. I was really looking forward to it but I'm disappointed. Couldn't even harvest my plants, only option is to discard. I've tried for 2 hours but nothing worked so I just refunded bevause it doesn't deserve a single dollar at this unplayable state. Wishlisting again so maybe if it gets fixed and is good, I'll be gladly come back to purchase and play. Ps. also, sidenote about an aggressive cringe comment on an AI related option in the game's settings: wtf is that bro, seriously? Why be aggressive to defend your ai slop with a garbage claim like that? I don't like both, okay? I hate both.

i really tried to like it i loved the last few but this is juss a big let down as of right now who knows maybe it will get better idk but i do know the trailer is no where near what the game is like and that isnt fair

game is WAY too unfinished right now to be released or considered anything more than something comprable to an itch io game, im honestly confused consiidering the code for weed shop 3 exists wy so much of this game is poorly made however i hope it will gegt better or at least good with time and changes but as it is sadly this game kind of sucks, also the performance is terrible for any fps despite having good specs, also not to mention the blatent AI art which despite the fact this dev has produced weed shop 3 a good game imo the lazy use of AI art really makes me hesistant to buy this game again when the full non buggy developed release happens, weed shop 3 made lots of money, pay some artists ffs

was so hyped about it but its so bad.....literally nothing to do 20$ is crazy i love the other weed shops games but this disappointed me so bad don't release a game that not finished or not really playable for now not recommended will change once game is fixed and playable they released this 2 years to early.. I wont refund the game just to support the devs and hope they fix

Get it if you want to support, can't recommend as it is, but it's entirely in personal opinion if you want to support them.
