Ok. A time management game with some strategy involved. Very modest about the graphics. Decent music. No bugs or crashes. Runs fine on Win 7. There are many games like this out there. The novelty about this one is that all things must be done combining types of weather. It's very simple to play and the mechanics are easy to get. Of course, it's timed and the timer is very unfair. The game is rather short. It includes cards even if not mentioned on the store page. A casual pastime that is not bad nor great. Purely middle of the pack stuff. You might get entertained with low expectations.
Sorry - this was a bit too boring. The dynamics are quite simple - but also a bit fiddly - so I've never had the motivation to play it a second time.
Weather Lord is the first game the Weather Lord series. It is much different than the sequels, feels more like babies first time management game. It's far too simple and quite boring for an adult, but probably would be great for kids. It's a good thing that I played some of the later games in the series before playing this, otherwise I would have missed out on some really games if I had played this first.
Oddechová strategická hra, není jednoduché dodržet časový limit.
Weather Lord is a lighthearted yet surprisingly engaging time-management game that builds its entire identity around the ability to control the forces of nature. Developed by Yustas Game Studio and Alawar Entertainment and published by ESDigital Games, the title takes a familiar resource-management formula and refreshes it with weather-based mechanics that influence nearly every aspect of gameplay. Rather than simply assigning workers to gather materials and repair structures, players are granted command over sunshine, rain, wind, and storms, turning the environment itself into a strategic tool. The game follows a straightforward structure spread across forty levels, each presenting a series of objectives that must be completed within a set timeframe. At first glance, the tasks appear familiar to anyone who has played a casual strategy title: clear roads, collect resources, restore buildings, and support local production. However, Weather Lord differentiates itself through its weather manipulation system. Sunlight helps crops grow faster, rain can extinguish fires and improve harvests, wind powers specialized structures, and lightning can remove obstacles blocking progress. These abilities are woven naturally into the gameplay loop, ensuring that environmental control feels essential rather than gimmicky. One of the game's strongest features is how it gradually introduces new mechanics and challenges. Early stages serve as a gentle tutorial, allowing players to become comfortable with resource collection and weather management. As the campaign progresses, levels become increasingly complex, requiring more careful planning and efficient use of available powers. Natural disasters, damaged infrastructure, and expanding production chains create situations where every decision matters. The balance between accessibility and challenge is handled well, making the game approachable for newcomers while still providing enough depth to keep experienced fans invested. The economic side of the gameplay is equally important. Players must maintain a steady flow of resources while determining the best moments to use weather powers. Crops, energy generation, repairs, and construction all compete for attention, creating a satisfying sense of multitasking. Solar stations and wind turbines play a significant role in later levels, encouraging players to think beyond basic resource gathering. Success often depends on finding the most efficient sequence of actions rather than simply working as quickly as possible, which adds a rewarding strategic element beneath the game's casual appearance. Visually, Weather Lord embraces a colorful and cheerful art direction that suits its fantasy-inspired setting. The environments are bright and inviting, with vibrant fields, charming villages, and animated weather effects that help bring the world to life. While the graphics are relatively simple compared to modern strategy games, they remain attractive and functional. The visual clarity is particularly important during hectic moments when multiple objectives must be managed simultaneously. Watching crops flourish under sunlight or storms sweep across the landscape reinforces the central theme and gives players a satisfying sense of influence over the world. The audio design complements the experience well, delivering a relaxing atmosphere that supports extended play sessions. The soundtrack remains pleasant without becoming distracting, while environmental effects help emphasize the impact of weather manipulation. Together, the visuals and sound create a comfortable experience that fits the game's casual nature and makes it easy to lose track of time while pursuing higher scores. Replay value comes primarily from the medal and ranking system. Completing levels is only part of the challenge; earning the highest rewards requires efficient execution and optimized strategies. Players who enjoy mastering time-management mechanics will likely revisit stages multiple times in search of better results. This system extends the game's lifespan considerably and gives experienced players a reason to refine their techniques long after finishing the campaign. The game is not without flaws. Its story serves mostly as a framework for the gameplay and lacks the depth or memorable characters found in more narrative-focused titles. Some players may also find the core structure repetitive during longer sessions, as many objectives revolve around similar resource-management tasks. In addition, occasional technical issues have been reported by members of the community, though experiences vary depending on hardware and software configurations. Despite these shortcomings, Weather Lord succeeds because it delivers exactly what it promises. The weather-control mechanics provide a refreshing twist on a proven genre formula, while the steady progression, strategic depth, and charming presentation create an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. Fans of casual strategy games, resource-management titles, and classic time-management adventures will find plenty to appreciate in its blend of planning, optimization, and environmental manipulation.
