When she talks her way into a shmoozy Hollywood party and makes friends with a rising music producer, she sees a chance to bring her dreams a little closer.

Beautiful visuals, pretty good songs, decent story. You really have to go into it with the knowledge of it being an interactive story. Sometimes I felt I would have preferred it to just be an actual show, so that they could have given us more story instead of inconsequential choices. Overall a pretty good experience and I am glad to have played it, excited to see more from the band.
it's more of an interactive show than a game, the choices dont really matter and just serve to see different things the characters think and can say in certain situations some pros? - the subplots of each character have themes about their own worth, grief, fear over not making it in their dream career, letting go of relationships, and more. even if the basic plot is "young adult has problems, makes bad decisions, eventually tries their best to fix their mistakes", each character gives it a personal twist, it's not as simple as it looks and all of them have thought and care put into them. - none of the characters are perfect. but how is this a pro? well, they all get humbled at least once. and it helps them grow. they feel very realistic in the sense of them acting like *real* people would, even when they're selfish and hypocritical. - the art direction is very unique, i love how minimalistic(?) the models look and the character designs are so cool!! - at the end of each episode there's a song (related to what happened in the episode) with an interactive music video. both the lyrics and visuals feel very like the characters themselves, and this is purely based on vibes but i think it's great how the real band's energy was matched so well by the virtual band. some cons? - i bought the game at a 50% discount, and my opinion on it would probably be very different if i had paid the full 20€ price for ~5 hours of "gameplay". consider getting the game on sale. - it really is an interactive show. you cannot skip anything, you cannot jump between scenes to check specific interactions, you gotta sit through the entire thing (from 50 to 80 minutes per episode). at least the songs have separate players. i wanted to buy this game and i dont regret doing so, but it being pretty much "watch a movie that lets you choose what the characters say every now and then" is less of a game and more of an experimental publicity for the actual ofk band it's clear this game was made from the heart; it all feels very human and personal, with the voice acting, the art direction, the songs, the struggles and everything; plus i love discovering queer bands!! (hey happy pride!!) i love carter so much, they can infodump about whatever and i'd listen for hours <3
this game is amazing, it has great visuals to match with the amazing soundtrack. you wont even notice as the time flies by because of the story. it is therapy and music wrapped into one. it is just an allround amazing game. im so happy to have played it.
Style is simple but sweet. The voice actors do a great job. Put all of the songs in my playlist. Jey is a hot tall lesbian. Money well spent.
This is a really cute game! I don't know any other band that has made their origin into a video game and it gives you personal insight and a connection with them. The artstyle is unique to OFK and fits their vibe completely and the way you interact with songs throughout the story is really cool. This game is definitely more of a "sit back and experience" rather than you playing, but honestly don't mind that. I hope they make a second season of this, which could hopefully lean more into players choices having an impact on the story. I understand why they don't for this one, given it's the personal story of how the band formed.

I really enjoyed this! I didn't really know what I was expecting from this before I went in but the main cast of characters were interesting, enjoyable, and had some sort of struggle within the story itself that you very likely can relate to. The interactive music videos were also a treat (Fool's Gold was probably my favorite)! As far as 'We are OFK' goes, I'd hesitate to call it a game and it doesn't quite cross into visual novel territory either, but it's more like interactive drama/fiction where you just enjoy the show and occasionally drop input via text messages or a minor dialogue choice. I feel the controls on some of the music videos could have been a lot better, especially on kb/m, since there are achievements tied to them, but it's a minor nitpick in the grand scheme of things. tldr; music is good, story is fun, interactive MV's are very neat, easy recommend.
