It's Hexagon, but without the spinning or induced motion sickness caused by a rotating tiny arrow travelling on a circumference minus the annoying music
hard but worth it
This is the kind of puzzle game that keeps your brain working. I went into Wayout 2: Hex expecting a simple puzzle game, but it turned out to be much more engaging than I expected. Every level makes you think differently, and solving a difficult puzzle is incredibly satisfying. What I enjoyed the most is how easy it is to understand the basic mechanics. You can start playing almost immediately, but the puzzles gradually become more challenging, making each new level feel rewarding instead of frustrating. The clean design helps you stay focused on solving the puzzles, and the difficulty curve feels fair. Every time I completed a level, I wanted to see what the next challenge would be. Why you should play it: 🧩 Clever puzzles that make you think. 🎮 Easy to learn, challenging to master. 🧠 Great for improving your problem-solving skills. ✨ Clean, simple design that keeps the focus on gameplay. ⏳ Perfect for both short sessions and longer playtimes. If you enjoy puzzle games that reward logic and patience, Wayout 2: Hex is definitely worth your time. It's relaxing, satisfying, and a great example of how simple mechanics can create an addictive experience. Rating: 9/10 – Every solved puzzle feels like a small victory.
Hallo erstmal!

WayOut 2: Hex
I don't know if it was the new hex shaped grid or just the level design but I enjoyed this way less than the first game, more big open levels and less of the methodical sectioned-off ones leads to a lot more trial and error which is never fun in a puzzle game.
Gameplay
WayOut 2 takes all the mechanics of the original with the puzzles now on hex tiles, I admire the shake-up as it would have been very easy to just copy the first game with new levels. However there is something with how flipping these Hex tiles works that always seems to lead to a dead end if you head in the wrong direction, this just makes it feel like pure rng to stumble into the correct solution on the more open levels. There are still a handful of well designed levels that act like mini split-up puzzles that actually feel fun to solve, just not enough to make me want to sit through the others. I hate having to use a guide to complete puzzles but I was bored at multiple points that lead me to doing so.
Achievements (40/40)
The achievements are scattered across random levels, hovering the levels shows you which unlock which, you have to complete every level perfectly to get 100% achievements.
Settings/Accessibility/Misc
Works well on steamdeck. Level select available. Bonus levels available. Keyboard and mouse support. 26 languages supported.
