Four hours into the game so far and I can say I'm enjoying what is being delivered through the content. I'm sad I missed out on the release time for this game. Though, that seems to be the case for a lot of these cool games I find later that had little to no marketing from what I remember. Which, I have to say this game? Quite fun. Which I think a lot of games kind of miss these days the mark on. You can have all the graphic fidelity, high end resolution, life like cinematics but if the game is not fun? What are you doing baby-boo? Quick run down as to why I am enjoying it so far: • Feels like a hybrid of Destiny meets Fable. • Enjoy the fact it has an art style and not just a hard push on realism. • Being that it does have classes, I enjoy you can literally have them use whatever weapon you decide as you pick it up. Had my rogue who I thought would simply be a knife duelist rock a rifle and that felt neat. • Focus on single-player and co-op play with no pvp? My type of game. • If you like looter games, roguelites, dungeon crawls, RPGs? Probably will dig this. It has a blend of all of that.
Could be a nice game i guess, but performance is not really great. Additionally the game is a blurry mess.
It is a genuine shame the original live-service release didn't work out as intended, because Wayfinder in its current state is a hidden gem that deserves way more love. The Good: Progression & Unlocks: The progression loop feels insanely rewarding. There are LOTS of unlocks, 3 distinct worlds to explore, and you can genuinely feel your character getting stronger as you play. Builds & Gameplay: Character variety is fantastic. While a few cookie-cutter builds exist, there is a great selection of skills to mix and match. Bosses actually require strategy, requiring you to learn mechanics rather than just DPS-race them. Customization: Top-notch customization options. Personas go beyond standard armor reskins to give characters entirely fresh vibes, and the player housing system lets you decorate your own space—with some decor actually granting real gameplay perks! Procedural Dungeons: Dungeons are procedurally generated with random events to keep runs engaging. The Flaws: The story is pretty average, and some quest chains can feel a bit repetitive (like running the same dungeon 12 times in a row with different modifiers). Final Verdict: Despite a few grindy quest moments, the core gameplay loop, vibrant world, and massive amount of unlockable content make this an easy recommendation. If you miss the art style, movement, and combat feel of Wildstar, buy this immediately. At $3, it's an absolute steal!
Ignore the negative reviews, buy this on sale (or full price honestly). Absolutely wonderful game! Just started it with a group of friends and it's truly enjoyable. Lots of depth, great art, and one of my favorites aspects: The game ENCOURAGES exploration instead of just being a game that forces you from Point A to Point B. Really excited to play this game more.
Game is genuinely awesome, 100 hours in feel like there's a ton more to do, got it for 5$, I would've gladly paid full price. There are 0 micro transactions, ♥♥♥♥ tons of unique loot, tons of build crafting. Get it for full price, definately get it on sale.
Super Smooth. Combat has a nice flow to is even on an old pc. The city is absolutely lovely and feels lived in. The dungeons are fun and i absolutely love the open world puzzles.
What an absolutely bizarre experience. It feels like the videogame equivalent to a dead mall, but I daresay I had a lot of fun playing it. It definitely has issues with some questlines making you do the same dungeon 3 times or even how abruptly the story ends, but it has a girthy amount of content and even a whole new map for post game. Heck it even boasts a cavalcade of unlockable characters and skins with no microtransactions in the game at all. Just some crossover DLC. Worth a play for the often discounted price point.
