A snappy, punchy, innovative fighting game that greatly rewards planning and foresight. The game sports beautiful pixel art and an energetic, diverse style. Highly recommended! Now where's that arcade mode...
What a great little game. It's got the charm of a casual match-3 game with the competitive feel coming from the 1v1 aspect, coupled with the fact that the game speeds up every 10 seconds or so. Pros: Addicting gameplay, even the solo score attack mode Great couch game Can technically do co-op with 2v2 though I haven't tried it, need 4 people for it Wide variety of character designs/mechanics, and everybody feels strong in their own ways. Solid sound track (one song is bleh but the training stage music is so good that it's fine) Practice modes available, explains rules/mechanics clearly. AI in case you want to try single player but still against an opponent Cons: No online planned Netplay relegated to steamplay or parsec, which means you need good internet to stream to your friend AI is pretty meh, even on hard mode For a simple arcade game with a unique, original twist with multiplayer, I'd say it was 100% worth buying the game full price at $10.
This game is like dodgeball combined with a match 3 game. I love all the different characters abilities and the fact that they each have entire bios written about them. I'ts great when people combine games together and this is a perfect example of that.
Met the Dev at Youmacon and played a few rounds with friends; we really liked it and thought it was a great party game, we're looking forward to seeing what will come from it!
I got to try out this game at a convention and really liked it! I got the game on itch, but bought it on steam too to show support. It's definitely fun to play with friends! I got pretty competitive with some of mine. As some other reviews have mentioned, the single player stuff may be a bit lacking for some, but overall, a fun new twist on a fighting game ^.^
Its a solid competitive puzzle game with some fun fighting game influence. Would definitely recommenced if you're looking for something fresh to throw down in when you have a few friends over.
If you like match-3 games, this is pretty neat. Unfortunately, you'd better have someone to play with. The built in AI in 'practice' (i.e. vs bots mode) is not particularly challenging, even on 'Hard' setting. The 'endless' mode is challenging, but it has different mechanics (you have no competitor) I could see this being a great game when a friend comes over, but it's not something I'm likely to play more solo.
It's great. Stands out in an entire ocean of indie games. I consciously avoid playing fighting games because they frustrate me, and also most puzzle games because they make my head hurt, but I'm never gonna not play this game. This makes me like fast-paced gameplay.
It's a lot of fun, I love the characters, but I do really wish they'd add an arcade mode or something to really flesh out the single-player experience.
