[b]Estimated reading time:[/b] 2 minutes I don't usually play these kind of games, therefore I must apologize in advance to the veterans of the genre who might happen to read my review and find a lack of comparison with other similar titles. This was an exception for me (and it turned out to be a really fun to play one) only because [i]Yahrit![/i] was created by the team which developed [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/449060/Cellar/]Cellar[/url] - a game that will always remain close to my heart. In terms of gameplay, the two tiles have nothing in common with each other, but one can easily see that they do have the same warm and delicate touch. That description is hardly fitting for a fighting platformer game, isn't it? Well, for one, the pixel art is beautifully crafted and the designers' efforts to make this an aesthetic game is pretty obvious. Little animated details like leaves falling down from the trees, water sparkling, or people cheering for you on a stadium are maybe just for the decor, but they bring a very nice touch to the game. Secondly, there is no violence involved. You have only one attack and that is dashing towards your enemy. He can counter it with his own dash, and if he doesn't, he dies. There is no gore involved, no blood, no brutality. This might disappoint some of the fans of this genre, but the game is not at all boring, despite the lack of blood spills on your screen. It's in fact an extremely dynamic game, with quick rounds that end in under a minute. The game does not have a single-player mode, but can accommodate up to 4 players using a combination of controller / keyboard settings. There are 3 game modes to pick from: time attack (most kills in 90 seconds), elimination (be the last man standing) and classic (first to score 10 points). These can be played on either of the 4 currently available maps, each of them having special features: bouncing platforms, bridges breaking on contact, and one lets you circularly chase your opponent around the edge of the map. Unfortunately, the players cannot be swapped with bots so that you can also play without a friend. With its retro-style graphics, energetic music and fast paced gameplay, [i]Yahrit![/i] is a good choice for a party game. The time I spent playing it was very enjoyable and as a bonus, I also managed to get all the achievements in under one hour. For this price, it's a steal! The concept of Yahrit is very simple, players can kill each other with a dash or by falling off the ledges. Everything is based on mindgames, trying to anticipate when the others will attempt their dash so that you can get the drop on them right after it. It’s a perfect game of chicken. There is a visual indicator showing when a dash is reloading, which allows everyone to see the window of vulnerability. It’s very simple, but it works very well as it’s easy to use and based on tension between players rather than technical prowess. The weak point of this game is the levels, there are not many and the platforms are not easy to reach so players prefer to stay on the ground. The developer is planning to take another look at this, so I have lots of hope for the future. Despite this, for its super cheap price the game is clearly solid enough as it is. Если любите соревнования, пиксельное оформление под олдскул и вам нужна игра с быстрыми матчами, то этот аренный экшен вам подойдет.

Ce jeu est vraiment parfait à jouer entre amis, parfait pour les joueurs même novices, car simplements deux boutons, sauter et charger (à l'exceptions des habituels boutons pour ce déplacer à droite et à gauche). Fonctionne sans problème avec toutes les manettes que je possède et se joue très rapidement: On démarrer le jeu, on appuie sur les touches des manettes que l'on veut utiliser, et on choisit quick match, en moins de trentes secondes, on joue déja. Et si l'on ne possède pas de manettes, Pas de problème, Deux joueurs peuvent jouer au clavier, même avec d'autres joueurs manette. Très facile à prendre en main, ce jeu consiste de combattre ses adversaires à travers 4 stades suberbement faits, au moment où j'écris ceci, en chargeant les autres adversaires avec notre petit joueur de football américain. Trois mode de jeu s'offre à vous, le classique par élémination, Le premier qui à 10 points, gagne. Par temps: à la fin du temps imparti, celui qui a le plus de points gagne. Et j'apellerais, le mode affrontement, où le dernier qui ne sait pas fait renversé gagne. Je dirais que pour ce prix le jeu est très fun (même si ce n'est pas l'avis de ma petite soeur, qui le trouve un peu trop cher pour le peu de stages et de mode de jeu), J'espère que le jeu se dévelope plus dans le futur avec l'introduction de nouveaux mode de jeux, des bots, des stages et soyonts fou, un workshop.

Its a beautiful pixelart game, but I was expecting it could have at least a mode against the computer, or a survival mode, something like that.
