Wasteland Angel

I think this game is really fun, I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about.

Repetitive top-down shooter with simple vehicular combat, bland missions and unremarkable visuals

Good fun for a short while. Pick it up in a sale!

Dead game, good potential, weak execution.

Mediocre top-down shooter that could be so much more, enjoyable for short bursts – 5.5/10 Wasteland Angel takes place in a dystopian future where WW3 turned everything into a radioactive wasteland. We play Angel a woman that travels in her weaponized car killing filthy wastelanders that try to kidnap and murder innocent survivors. The game has different sections, each one having 4 levels. Two levels where you have to defend cities and their residents at day and at night, a boss fight and a first-person bonus level. The gameplay is really simple, tons of wastelanders come at you in their cars and you have to kill them, collecting upgrades and special weapons to unleash more destruction onto them. Some enemy-types try to kidnap the survivors you are defending, and you have to stop those ones before they can get away. The boss fights and especially the first-person bonus sections are great and I really enjoyed those. The game also has some short story-segments which are told in great looking comics, but it’s just not enough to really engage you. The game does not seem very polished, enemies often get stuck outside of the map making you unable to kill them. If that happens you won’t be able to reload health at the cities between rounds. Another annoying thing is that in some levels the cities you have to defend are placed too much to the border of the map, resulting in strange camera movement and little sight when you drive there. For some achievements you have to gather a lot of points/combo that goes up over consecutive levels, this only works if you hit Continue in the main menu. I often wanted to perfect some levels right after playing them and went there over the level select story-mode where you don’t keep your points/combo and even weapons. I only realized this halfway through the campaign, really unnecessary. The play-time is also way too short and the gameplay feels a bit bland, the game needs more mechanics that make it stand out from other games like the first-person bonus levels, a nice addition would have been to be able to play all levels in first-person-mode. Sadly the story is unfinished, leaving you without a proper ending, what a bummer! Unfortunately the game comes too short in most aspects leaving you with a mediocre top-down shooter that could be really awesome if improved in some aspects. 100%-Achievement-Difficulty: Easy, takes around 4 hours to complete, completing the whole game takes a bit longer as there are no achievements for the new levels that were added after release. Great game! have had a lot of fun with this game for little money. 10/10 would recomend

Eu escolhi escrever uma crítica negativa, mas isso não significa que não haja diversão. Certamente há. Não há nada de errado com a abordagem simplista do, dirigindo um carro explodindo tudo à vista. Meu maior problema foram os controles que são 'travados'. Não há suporte ao analógico e é estranho pilotar. O principal problema com Wasteland Angel é que seu apelo inicial se esgota bem rápido. É super repetitivo. Cada nível oferece basicamente o mesmo cenário, você está lutando contra os mesmos inimigos repetidamente.

Помню в детстве обожал Twisted Metal и Vigiland 8.1\8.2 на первой плойке. Часами залипали с друзьями. Здесь та же атмосфера, но в изометрии. Правда боты помоему тупее тех старых игр из нулевых, но играбельно!
