Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 20/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As a turn based lover of such games as XCOM 1&2, Jagged Alliance, Battle Brothers etc. this game is terrible. It feels like a mobile game from 15 years ago. The interface is clunky and unintuitive, the game-play options feel very limited and implausible. I have to wait to discover that people can actually be fishermen before I can start a profession as a fisherman, like all of them have never been outside before. My new characters can't even wear light armour for some strange reason and my "man-at arms" starts with a barrel-lid shield and an old club...lol wut? Anyway whatever, the combat feels very badly paced and awkward - actually that's how the entire game feels. I bought this game on ridiculously cheap sale for nearly £7 so I was very excited with all the very positive reviews, but having tried hard to get into it for a few hours I'm giving up, its too janky for me and I feel I overpaid by about £3.50.

The game had a great potential. Very unique and fun to play. But now it turned into DLC hell, the developers are primarily interested in milking the remaining player base as much as it is possible.
The core WarTales game is very enjoyable, engaging, and immersive. So, buy the core game especially on sale--seriously. Having said that, the DLCs fail to re-invent the same level of charm and actually magnify minor issues into major ones. One of the biggest issues for me was, for example playing the Pirates DLC after completing the core game and being absolutely disenchanted with the level matching. You complete the game only to be re-involved with petty disputes, completing quests, grabbing gear and information often on toddler difficulty. It makes it seem like you graduated school but you're still hanging around as though you haven't. They would have been better off making the DLC progression more linear and level locked with an obvious continuing story and progression. If they wanted to re-use the core maps, transform them into clans, fiefdoms, or kingdoms you can manage with diplomacy, economy, perks, etc. But going back and having to fight level 1 content absolutely breaks the immersion for me. The existing world, after completion of the core game, needs to be transformed to higher level content or have the DLC avoid that world altogether. Core game (YES!) DLCs (Sadly NO!)
You can spend many, many hours in this game. The combat system is easy to grasp but more complicated to master. If you enjoy tactical combat, you'll feel at home here. But if stories, questing, making morally gray choices and developing relationships between your mercenaries is your thing, you'll have fun with this title as well. Managing your troop feels pretty relatistic as well, you have to consider wages, equipment, rations etc. So far, I greatly enjoy this journey. HOWEVER (small rant inc.): Don't start this game in multiplayer. Seriously, I don't know wtf is wrong but getting this thing to work with just two people is tiring. Sometimes you need 5 mins to set it up, other times it's a 30 min IRL battle. And I doesn't matter what method you used last time when setting up a session, it will not work like that the next time. And that's not an issue that concerns only my friend and me, other players seem to struggle with that aspect as well. Which is a shame, since I enjoy playing this game together a lot and it was the reason I got the game in the first place. Maybe it's best to not release another (overpriced) DLC in the near future. Instead, fix the game and make playing together a not so miserable exprience. Or don't sell it with the "multiplayer" tag.
Base game was good first hour or two, thought surely the DLCS would add to it. Learned some of its frustrating, Running a kingdom for... some reason doesn't even connect to the game at all. There some sport you can play in game that crashes the game. Seems to have been that way a very long time. They just pump out DLCs and don't seem to fix anything. The thaumaturge class is wildly broken tbh, and feels like they don't fit the theme much.
I really tried to like this game but the difficulty scaling of this game is very silly that it automatically adjusts to your group size making it having a big group pointless. Good overall mechanics though
The number of times I accidently sold something at the vendor instead of putting it on is rediculous. If you have played this game you have done it. Why punish players like this. Give us an undo sale. Something. I cant play this game anymore. I am too infuriated.
