Reviews
Few people go and edit their reviews to reflect how a company changes. It takes a lot, and you have to remain on the retention for the game, or go back and revisit it (and then be met with something that makes you angry enough to change your review) to actually be one of the people who make that statistic. There's also the caveat of leaving a review to begin with. This is a long way of saying that the "mixed" reviews the game is getting right now are reflective of how the game is currently. The developers got their money, and continue to beat a dead horse. They may even make a different game if it didn't cost them an arm and a leg and not have the promised returns of the few people who still buy their trash now. Wartales is, for what it's worth, a fun and also difficult game. It is a game you'll restart a bunch of times if you aren't accustomed to this kind of gameplay. It is similar to Battle Brothers, a better version of this that you should go buy instead. It has solid music, the world building is... fine, I guess, and the visuals are interesting but nothing breaking the mold. Then again, you really shouldn't try to break the mold in that regard with a game like this. You're meant to be a mercenary band, and to do mercenary things, or to be criminals or political warriors who sign on with someone. You do whatever makes you feel good, and you build your own story. That's neat, but the game stopped catering to that point eventually as the rise for money became more and more obvious. They'd make three times the sales on their DLC if they charged half the price, and people would complain less about it, too. Instead, they charge absurd amounts, run their players off, and are left with barely anyone. Who knows what will happen to Shiro Games? Who knows.
I wish I could leave a grade and not a positive or negative review So I'd give this game a 50% leaning towards 40% over time I'm gonna do it quick: Negative stuff

This game is not well optimized and require too much hardware resources for what it is, it's annoying when playing on limited hardware and/or annying when you literally hear a 3080Ti fuming because of a game that has the looks of something that could run on a PC from 2010
The game gets repetitive pretty quick
The beginning is grindy AF, the late game is repetitive and worse feels like unchallenging
The DLCs are cleaerly a cash grab -> look at the reviews, everybody is complaining about the same thing: a DLC is released, it's shallow and boring or buggy -> it's never improved -> they release a new DLC with the same issue -> rince and repeat
The game doesn't seem to have or aim at any major interesting new updates...so it is what it is.
Good stuff:

The coop mode is really neat and works perfectly
I hate crafting and yet this game made me craft stuff, that's a good sign -> the crafting system is cool
Your first run, will be fun, it's worth it BUT only and only if the game is less than 10/15€ (right now it's at 34.99€ -> that's a no, that game is not worth that much)
Absolute Trash
No DLCs. Plus, they're really expensive.
DLC slop... This game has a great potential, all ruined by DLCs.
An outstandingly incredible game, and one I give a 10 out of 10. This is without a doubt one of my favourite games of all time, with a massive amount of content, and an absurd amount of fun to be had. Build a mercenary band, travel across the lands, do quests, explore, fight, strategise, adventure, this game has it all. So, so much depth, with tons of customisation, and heaps of things to find, unlock and discover. A thing that I personally really love, is the ability to see a cool animal, or monster, and go, ha, I want that, and then going off and capturing one and adding it to my team. Things like that make this game so much fun, really giving you a sense of freedom, and allowing you to truly make you little troop your own. I have had such a great time with this game solo, but I can confirm, that it is also real good multiplayer too. Something I whole heartedly recommend, and a game I truly adore.
O mapa do mundo é belíssimo.
