About
Warhounds is a turn-based tactical & strategy game, inspired by XCOM and Jagged Alliance, about a mercenary squad with an old-school action movie vibe. Command an elite team of bold, stylish operators, wage a campaign in an alternate-future Africa, and decide the war’s outcome mission by mission.
Calculate lines of fire and flank angle, break cover, and seize the high ground. Every turn is decided more by your planning and tactics, less - by RNG.
Combine classes: Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Grenadier. Pick the right gear for the job, treat and extract, and protect key operatives. Take calculated risks. High combat lethality makes every decision count.
Recruit, upgrade, purchase equipment, and handle logistics, finances, medical supplies, and downtime. Choose allied factions, build relationships, gather intel, and execute covert ops. Your choices have consequences: your decisions determine your access to missions, gear, and allies.
Deploy drones, combat scanners, smoke, and optical camo. Upgrade and improve your kit to win under any conditions.
Knock out a mission in 25-40 minutes, or settle in for a long session. Customize the challenge: go for a brutal tactical hell or a light, relaxing run.
No point-blank misses - flank + close distance = 100% hit chance.
Real ballistics, destructible cover, vertical gameplay, and cone overwatch.
Mercenaries with character and mission-focused loadouts without any busywork.
Base management, contracts, budgets, allies, and consequences for your actions.
Assemble your squad. Take the contract. Decide Africa’s future beyond 2035.

Macht Bock, PVP wär irgendwie auch cool
It's fun for 1 playthrough but misses something new and unique. its a cheap XCOM version.

Super taktyczna gra turowa, polecam każdego
All the bad of Xcom and none of the good. Game has potential but justs sits at annoying. Snipers doing 1 damage, machine guns just almost killing the enemy, killing an enemy and watching them get back up, always coming up just short of a move to cover. I loved Xcom, I hate Warhounds.
Juegazo.
Game feels like a very unpolished mix of X-COM and Jagged Alliance (as description mentions). Game would be good enough if voiceovers would not feel so... fake. Game seems to be translated with Google Translate, and voiceovers added with AI (or some very low quality fiverr commissions). Very few character skins and customization options for shirt and pants, and half of them look super-bad. "Unique" characters are super-ugly, and nothing appearance-wise can be changed (at least let me change the ugly tank tops!). Skins can be bought, but they have zero originality, and you are kind of forced to play with them, because all have an extra skill (why not let it be random?). Also game can't be modded, so nobody can come with extra customization options and voice fixes. Probably the original game, in Russian, makes more sense, but this, in English, feels like a very very cheap copy. If you finish or get bored of X-COM, Jagged Alliance, and MENACE, this can scratch the itch for a while (but not for too long).
