Horrible predatory game that changed even their daily rewards to be required to be purchased. The game does not reward you its made to eat your money, and eat it all. Run away from this scam.
3 Important things: Game Mechanics, Perfect Cross-Platform, Misleading "Mixed" reviews. 1. The Mechanics Here's what's unique: -Pacing is based off of limited slots, not card "costs" - so from early to late game, every card has a use -Cards naturally trigger over subsequent turns, you get 2 actions a turn and draw in place of any unused actions. Super unique play style. -You basically have a personal quest for each hero - a series of types of cards they need to play to trigger potentially game changing Miracles. It's nice to have a bonus objective. -This is a perfect example of a game about creating a strong foundation, then clever cards that overcome your normal limits. Want to play a horde in a card game where you only have 4 free slots? Play a Stacking deck where cards power up from laying on top of each other. Want to Burst your opponent? Build a deck based on cards that give you additional Actions or deploy multiple other units at once! 2. Perfect Cross Play -I LOVE being able to share my accounts between Phone, PC, and Switch. The UI is simple enough that all these formats are easy to us - but the ability to play across devices on the same account is so liberating. Plus, physical cards unlock their digital counterpart through scanning - and can earn you additional gold through your matches. 3. The Reviews There is a lot of criticism about the solo content being unfair. I think if it had been titled "Challenges" then people would understand this isn't suppose to be a simple method to have tons of free stuff dumped on them. Plus, whether playing solo or multiplayer, you are completing account quests and building faction experience (3-4 games is enough for a few rewards, even as losses) so a lost-match doesn't mean you have wasted your time and earned nothing. The next largest chunk of criticism seems to be an over-reaction to paying for things in gaming. Everything can be unlocked over time from playing the game - and people who invest money aren't given objectively stronger cards, they're given more options. No, the starter deck isn't equivalent to the ideal deck - but I was beating people in random matches who had crafted theme decks with mine that was fairly new. Every card game struggles with providing options versus balancing, basically creating content that is different, not just better. This game does it exceptionally well. The last chunk (maybe a third or fourth) of negatives reviews was that they did not enjoy the mechanics of the game. Cool, you may not either. It's a unique experience and you may or may not find it fun - no counterpoint here :-p

I like the game, I really do. That's why it's so frustrating that it's really not good. Balance is poor, the interface fights you every second, the tutorial is completely useless and might as well not waste my time for half an hour, considering that it doesn't explain anything OR allow you to explore on your own. You're not able to look at keywords on cards in any context that is not in-game, on your turn - when it's the enemy's turn, you can bring their cards up but you don't get any info on the keywords used. There doesn't seem to be a way to display keyword info IN YOUR LIBRARY, which is just the most hilariously stupid thing I can possibly imagine. So what I need to be doing is left-clicking and then right clicking while holding the left-click and - no, never mind, I'd rather uninstall. Seems like you guys have a great game here! Let me know when you make a version for PC, because right now, what you have is a really trash phone game.
I have been playing CCG's since the 90's. Magic the Gathering since before Ice Age... Werewolf, Wyvern, Yu-ghi-oh, several marvel iterations, Pokemon etc etc. Whatever game I play I usually buy an entire box of boosters 2 times a year at least. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER seen the things I have seen playing this game daily for hours for the last month. Lets put it this way. Most of my games against the computer end in losses. A surprising amount of them are come from behind victories by the computer where it would have lost the next turn when my "minions" rotate. Here is the kicker and the reason I am writing this. Almost all of those loses involve the computer playing a series of cards with Yu-ghi-oh the tv show level of for-thought and complexity. This results in a card that should do 1-2 damage doing EXACTLY the same amount of damage it needs to beat you. 4 damage? 6 damage? 7 damage? No problem, it just so happened to have the 1-2 cards in hand it needs to play to get two blessings to proc or use a heroic and/or have its hero ability proc to do EXACTLY the amount of damage, no more, no less than to kill you? If this were Vegas the computer would be dragged into a back alley and beaten half to death. At a tourney it would be kicked out by the organizer for cheating. If it were a low card, speed deck that increased the probability of getting certain combinations that would be one thing. But with 8 cards having to be heroes/blessings as well as a 3 per instance limit, not being able to play 2 instances of a card in the same turn and exactly 30 cards in a deck I'm not buying the probability. I'm going to start playing vs humans only. The thing is this. You can play the game for free which requires you to beat the computer to unlock cards faster than the 1 per day. But if the computer is going to play the exact cards it needs to beat it you.... then you can not play the game against the computer to win the free cards without stacking cards (but the daily can be from any Army which means 1/4 chance of being in the army you are trying to build a computer competitive deck in) by getting your daily. So to do anything quickly you need to buy boosters from the army you want to play to be able to beat the computer regularly TO get the free cards. Because playing with the starting cards vs a human who is buying boosters means you WILL LOSE. I'd like to give a neutral rating because you can always play humans who should not be able to cheat, just pay to win, which is how CCG's go. The game SHOULD have a MMR which puts you up against people with your skill/collection level based on win/loss... But I find the computer obviously generating counter picks to beat you as lame and dishonest. One could argue that its a requirement to sink enough time and money into the game to build counter decks to beat specific daily/weekly challenges... to which my response would be 1) Stop arguing on behalf of scheming developers against your fellow gamers 2) Not interested, just program a normal game.
The first BIG TCG in the Warhammer Universe. AoS: Champions is an incredibly unique and interesting card game, Bringing something new and fresh to an over-saturated market. With it's unique rotate mechanics and questing, it may take a little while to get used too. But it is absolutely worth it. To those who don't know, whilst the game is Free, it is also a physical card game! And what's better, if you own the App version you can SCAN your cards into the game, so anything you own physically, you can own digitally too! I'd highly recommend you buy physical product instead of using the in-game micro-transactions, as they are not much cheaper than the physical product, so for a few extra pennies you may as well own real cards! Now to get into the actual review of the game; Gameplay; As I described earlier, AoS:C is a very unique TCG, whilst inspired slightly by PlayFusions previous game Lightseekers, it does a lot to be unique. The game is split into 4 rows, in which you deploy your 4 Champions (chosen during deck building). Each Champion has unique effects and quest corners, vastly changing how each faction and deck play depending on how you pick them. Throughout the game you deploy Units, Spells and Abilities into those Champions lanes. Some cards may have targeting-symbols that allow it to effect other lanes, etc. Each of your Champions have "quest" corners to their top left, whenever you play a card of that type into their row, they rotate 1 forwards moving onto their next corner, with the aim of most decks being to fully quest your Champions so that you can flip your powerful Blessings underneath them, swinging the battle towards your favor! The game has various modes, Casual PvP, Ranked, Battle against AI, Campaign modes against AI, Special Events, some using your own decks, some using pre-mades. All around very fun and gives you a lot to do outside of just the usual PvP. The meta has had a nice representation of Aggro, Combo and Control, meaning there is something for all types of players. Whilst the controls may be a little clunky at first, having been adapted from the App, it does take a little getting used too, but once you have the gameplay is as smooth as butter. Graphics; The game looks great, using a lot of the original art from the fantastic artists over at Games Workshop, really giving you a feel for the Mortal Realms, sometimes just oggle cards going "Oooo, Aaaah." Menu's do take a little getting used too, but everything is certainly well decorated and flash. Many attacks have animations giving you great feedback and give everything a little more life. Whilst they look fantastic I will mention they are slightly limited, but more are being added with each expansion and patch so everything remains interesting to watch. As mentioned before, this has been ported/remade from an App version which you can tell, however they have done a fantastic job of adapting the game to a larger screen and everything looks great, here's hoping it gets a little more polished/easier to use interface in the coming months (or maybe I'll just get used to it haha!) Sound; The sound of ripping claws, the crack of lightning strikes and the thundering blows of hammers are FANTASTICALLY rung out in game, having been scaled up fantastically. Every attack, spell and ability has a high quality sound. The music is also very befitting the AoS universe, really getting you in the mood. If I were to make a complaint, I will say after about 20-30hrs of gameplay the music did become a little repetitive and I eventually switched it off, but that would be expected of most games to be fair.. Micro-transactions/Marketplace; The game does include micro-transactions, having premium currency and so on. The game however is incredibly generous to F2P players, with it's daily quests, weekly AI campaigns/events and earning simply for playing. If you own any physical cards they also "level up" when you play them, granting you additional gold in game (the currency you use for buying packs), Allowing players to amass a collection without paying a penny! The actual premium currency is... fair, by typical standards, however I cannot stress enough how much a physical pack costs compared to a digital pack. If you enjoy the game, I'd recommend you instead buy a physical starter or some booster packs, then SCAN those cards into the digital game, there is very little difference in price so I feel it is much better value! Especially since owning physical cards grants you additional gold in game by leveling them up from playing games, meaning they help you build up MORE digital currency to buy even MORE digital packs, so... worth it! Finishing; The game has just come out and is still early, PlayFusion do provide regular updates and there is a thriving Discord group I would recommend you join if you are enjoying the game. People there are more than happy to provide help and discuss the game. PF Staff are also there and always willing to listen to feedback! The game has certainly had it's ups and downs, but I feel the game is beginning to find a good balance and grow. The game costs nothing, so please, give it a go! TopHatCat
+ Good tutorial quickly explaining the mechanics. + Mobile integration and ability to scan physical cards in order to add them to your digital deck + Genuinely a fun TCG + Less RNG compared to hearthstone (Cards do exactly what they say they do with no random targeting or effects) - Predatory cash shop that uses every single tip from the whailing handbook. - Game was ported from Mobile wholesale and doesn't have features one would expect on a PC interface (Like mouseover tooltips). - Some animations seem to be unnecessarily long (especially the champion deployment animations that aren't all that elaborate but seem to take up several seconds each) So what do we have in the end? A decent digital TCG with an awful interface and equally bad/insulting monetization practices (for PC standards) If you like Age of Sigmar it's worthy of considering, especially on mobile. The PC version is a pretty barebones port however without the most basic of features you'd expect on PC and interface clearly designed for tablets and phones.
За 100 попыток зайти в игру получите достижение "Упорный“, за 500 попыток достижение „Мазохист“, ну а за 1 000 попыток достижение "Святой терпения“. Только вот сервера от этого работать не начнут.
Damn, how did you managed to screw this one? Don't get me wrong, the game itself is good, free to play model is better than that of hearthstone, but this port to PC is, and I thought I would never say this, worse than playing this game on mobile phone. Add to that that it took them more than half a year to build this port from mobile game, oh boy. To avoid any confusion, I have set options to highest possible, so its full hd with "fantastic" graphic. Well, the graphic isnt full hd, its probably the same quality as mobile game, just put into hd format. Result - mobile game is more transparent than PC ! You cannot see text on your cards on 26" monitor during battle, and you need to, check this, click and hold your mouse button in other to view text on the card! Pictures and buttons in every menu are huge, so much that you need to scroll every menu to see everything. And no, you dont see better that way because the native graphic on everything is way less than 1080P. I kinda hoped that there is option menu that lets you mouse over, but nooo, that menu is same as mobile, complete with "Battery saving" option which slows down the game in order to save battery.... I have waited so long for this port 'cause for some reason this game requires 64bit structure even on tablet and mobiles, which my tablet doesnt have, and I really hate to play anything on the phone. What a disappointment. Game itself is good if you like card games, so if 0% effort put into this port doesnt bother you, just try it, its "free" after all.
This is a great game, but the recent monetization changes seem like a quick cash grab. I spent money in the game, but I don't want to pay a monthly subscription for a freakin' card game. Moreover, I don't use the app, I play on Steam, so restricting certain rewards and features to app users only is annoying. Also, there are some serious bugs in the game. Edit: the new monetization strategy is beyond ridiculous. I just aced an arena run and that apparently unlocked a one-time special offer, so that I can now spend more money. It looks like the game isn't doing that well in terms of its playerbase and they decided to just churn and burn it while there's still some loyal fans playing. Shameful display.
Genre - Warhammer Fantasy CCG I have played quiet a few card games in my advanced years both digitally and in the real world. I am also a huge fan of the Warhammer universe, but more so the old world. I mean what the heck is an Orruk or a Grot? I bought some packs of the physical game first and played a bit on my android phone. I found it quite difficult to work out the game mechanics and the user interface was a bit busy for a small screen. So I only played a few quick games. Once I saw it was on Steam I thought I'd give it another go, especially as it allows you to link your android account and has sought after achievements you either love or hate. I can safely say that after putting a few hours into the game and experimenting, I am finding it a very rewarding experience, which is also sneakily exercising my grey matter. Versus games don't seem to drag or seem as frustrating as they can with other games of this ilk. I am sure there are a few cheat decks out there for the P2W crowd but most games I played felt fairly even even as I was still learning the basics. They have just added a versus arena mode, which can be accessed by playing a few games and earning gold. This allows you to build a completely new deck not limited on the cards you own and entering a well built ladder tournament. They have also developed solo modes, with time sensitive campaigns and AI challengers (although expect the AI to have a cheat deck). I would have also liked to see some sort of co-op mode where you could control half a deck each though. I have put a bit of money into this game now. So I'm hoping it sticks around. hence pushing a positive review. I do generally think it is well designed game, and worth experimenting with specially if you are a fan of Games Workshop stuff and CCG in general.
